Hello again wrestling fans, and welcome back to the Talking Smack Recap! After Friday Night Smackdown came to an end, WWE taped another episode of Talking Smack, which is hosted by Kayla Braxton, and her co-host, Paul Heyman. The guests on today’s edition of the show will be Bayley, as well as Rey & Dominik Mysterio. Now that we’re all caught up on what’s going down, it’s time to talk some smack!
Talking Smack (5/29/21)
Kayla kicks off the show by welcoming viewers back to the ThunderDome, and introduces everyone to Paul Heyman. Kayla and Heyman talk about Summerslam for a bit, and Kayla makes “jazz fingers” whenever she says the name of the event. Paul wonders why she’s doing that, as am I, and then proceeds to slam Raw by asking “who would watch that show?” Kayla wraps up the cold open, and recaps a few of the highlights from Smackdown, before sending the show to a commercial break.
After the break, “The Role Model” makes her way on to the show, and she says “Kayla is obsessed with me, that’s why she keeps bringing me on this show”. Kayla tells Bayley she likes her new shirt, and Bayley makes sure everyone knows where to purchase one. Kayla switches gears, and asks Bayley why she “had a case of the giggles” on Smackdown. Bayley responds, and tells Kayla “what’s so funny is that Bianca thinks she is a big deal, when she’s not.” Bayley continues to run down Belair, and tells Bianca “it eats you alive inside that you couldn’t beat me without a foreign object.” Bayley then proceeds to claim that Bianca “may have had a steel pipe in her braid,” at Wrestlemania Backlash. Kayla follows up by asking Bayley if she is jealous of Belair, since Bianca had a Wrestlemania moment. Bayley scoffs at that, and drops her list of accomplishments at “The Show of Show’s’” before stating “the only thing I’m mad about is that she thinks she is better than everyone else, because of what she’s done... what has she done?” Kayla thanks Bayley for stopping by, and sends the show to another break.
Rey & Dominik Mysterio
On the other side of the break, the reigning Smackdown Tag Team Champions join the show, and Kayla tells them congratulations on their successful title defense. Kayla wonders what happened to Rey before his match, and he explains “they know who they are, and they are not gonna stop me... or my son for that matter.” Kayla also wants to know how Dominik felt about what happened, and he tells her “I knew I had to step up and defend my family, and that’s what I did.” Kayla follows up by asking about the post-match attack from The Uso’s, and Rey tells her “we know what they bring to the table, and we can’t wait to face them.” Paul Heyman chimes in, and he talks about the champions past appearance on Talking Smack. Heyman tells the champs “you proved everyone right. You deserve to be Smackdown Tag Team Champions.” Paul runs down the list of tag teams on Smackdown, and says that if The Uso’s listen to Roman Reigns “you’re gonna have trouble on your hands.” Heyman finishes by saying “I wish you luck, and I look forward to seeing you both compete next week”. Rey wraps up the interview by saying “it’s gonna take alot to take these(Smackdown Tag Team Championships) away from us, and we’re not giving them up that easy.” Rey and Dominik move on, as Kayla sends the show to one last break. Up next, Paul Heyman gets to say whatever he wants.
Before Paul begins to talk, Kayla runs down the list of things announced for next week’s episode of Smackdown. Heyman demands Kayla to tell everyone where Summerslam is, and after a brief struggle, she does. Kayla tells Paul “I suggest you start talking”, and he wastes no time. Paul begins to tell everyone how great Roman Reigns is, and he talks about The Uso’s. Heyman says “the first time I met them was in the summer of ‘89, while managing the Samoan Swat Team.” Heyman says that one day before a show, he saw two 4 year old brothers hitting frog splashes on each other in the ring, who are now The Uso’s. Heyman continues, and says that the Mysterio family is going against a family who “has wrestling in their bloodline... it’s what they do.” Paul closes by saying “I’m intrigued by this match”, and there’s also another person intrigued by the match. The other person is someone “Jimmy Uso will acknowledge... the Reigns-ing, defending, WWE Universal Champion, The Tribal Chief, The Head of the Table, Roman Reigns”.
That’s all for this weeks Talking Smack Recap! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day everyone!
