Hello again wrestling fans, and welcome back to the Talking Smack Recap! After Friday Night Smackdown came to an end, WWE taped another episode of Talking Smack, which is hosted by Kayla Braxton, and her co-host, Paul Heyman. The guests on today’s edition of the show will be Shinsuke Nakamura, Adam Pearce, and Sami Zayn. Now that we’re all caught up on what’s going down, it’s time to talk some smack!
Talking Smack (6/18/21)
Kayla kicks off the show by welcoming viewers back to the ThunderDome, and she introduces everyone to Paul Heyman. Kayla thanks Kevin Patrick for stepping in last week, and Heyman adds “I honestly thought you showed up with gender reassignment surgery, and devolved an accent that sounded like a sober Connor McGregor. I thought it was you just messing with me... but now that you’re here, I can honestly say... I miss Kevin.” Kayla says “I missed you too,” and shifts gears into discussions about the highlights from Smackdown. Kayla tries her best to get through the highlights, as Heyman gives “Kevin” a hard time. Paul gives everyone a chance to acknowledge The Tribal Chief, until Kayla sends the show to an ad break.
On the other side of the break, an electric guitar echos throughout the arena, and Shinsuke Nakamura is at the desk. Rick Boogz is in the background, and he’s jamming out, as only he can. Kayla asks Shinsuke about taking his new crown from place to place, as multiple social media posts have shown, and Nakamura talks about everywhere he’s taken the crown, including “the beach.” Kayla tries to ask Shinsuke questions about Boogz, but all that can heard is shredding. Shinsuke tells the hosts “he is... energetic,” and Paul starts to get irritated. Heyman yells for Boogz to “play us out,” and Boogz listens to Heyman. Kayla thanks Shinsuke for stopping by, and sends the show to another break.
Heyman kicks off the segment by claiming Kayla and Pearce “want to hook up later,” after Kayla offered Adam a seat by her. Kayla cuts Paul off immediately, before changing gears, and asking Adam if Sami Zayn is obsessed with Kevin Owens. Pearce explains “they may been obsessed with each other for the past 15 years. I think the WWE Universe wants to see some resolution, and they may see that on Sunday.” Heyman stops him, and begins to argue with Pearce. They both talk over each other, until Adam begins to get a word in. Pearce says “I want to see Kevin beat the tar out of Sami, as a person, but as a member of management I have to be partial.” Sami Zayn storms on to the set, and questions why Pearce would want to see him get hurt. Sami says “at least Paul had the decency to lie to my face! You want me to suffer Adam. You think you’re so smart with your bald head, but I’m smarter than you.” Sami closes by saying “you’re going to look foolish after Sunday!” Adam “shoulder checks” Sami on the way out, and Zayn stays to rant. Sami “has alot to say,” and Paul tells him “when we come back from the break, the floor is yours. Open mic.”
When the show returns from the break, Sami Zayn is still at the desk. Kayla says “Sami, take it away,” and he does. Sami says “everyone thinks WWE’s primary function is to put smile on faces, but that’s not true. The primary function is to make the life of Sami Zayn a living hell.” Sami continues his rant, and adds “here’s what I’ve come to learn about you Paul... you’ve lied to me countless times, but what I realized is that you’ve been a victim. You sometimes cross that corporate line, and once in a while, you tell the truth. When you tell the truth you get smeared, just like me!” Zayn goes on to say “all Kevin Owens is at the end of the day is a corporate co-conspirator, and there’s nothing lower. His conspiracy against me is worse than any pop-up powerbomb he’s ever given me.” Sami closes by asking Kayla if she believes in karma and he says “some day, good will come back to me. At Hell In A Cell, everyone is going to see karma and justice served.”
That’s all for this weeks Talking Smack Recap! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day everyone!
