Hello again everyone and welcome back to the Talking Smack Recap! This mornings hosts are Paul Heyman and Kayla Braxton, and they’ll be joined by three guests this morning. The guests are Intercontinental Champion Big E, Women’s Royal Rumble winner Bianca Belair, and WWE Official, but totally not the GM, Adam Pearce. Now that we’re all caught up on what’s going down, it’s time to talk some smack!
Kayla kicks off the show by welcoming the viewers to the ThunderDome, and welcomes everyone to her co-host, Paul Heyman. Kayla begins to recap last nights episode of Smackdown, specifically the main event segment featuring Edge, Kevin Owens, and Roman Reigns. Kayla asks if Heyman has heard anything from Reigns, and Heyman tells her what she should be asking is “how do you feel now that everyone is eyeballing Roman Reigns”. Heyman reiterates that all eyes are on Roman, and talks about Edge. Heyman says Edge is “playing mind games” with Roman, and talks about Roman main eventing Wrestlemania for a scheduled 6th time. Heyman begins to talk about Owens “screwing the WWE Universe out of Edge’s answer”, before saying Owens won’t have anymore championship opportunities. Heyman says if Edge doesn’t choose Reigns as his opponent at ‘Mania, Edge will be in the “Co-Main Event”. After Paul wraps up his comments, Kayla tells him Adam Pearce will be on later. When Heyman finishes his thoughts, Kayla brings on the first guest, Big E.
Big E
The Intercontinental Champion successfully defended his title last night, and comes out taking about being a “rare bread”. Big E tells us he was built from the ground up, and “look at him now”. Kayla congratulates E on the successful defense, and Heyman calls it “a very impressive victory”. Kayla wonders if E was worried heading into the match, and E tells her “I don’t worry”. Big E wonders how many times he will have to face Crews and Zayn, and mentions that he is “here to establish my legacy”. E says he’s gonna “keep building on this”, and Kayla questions Sami Zayn’s actions of late. E tells her he doesn’t care what Sami is doing, because it’s “outside noise”. Paul Heyman joins the interview, and offers his assessment of Big E. Heyman tells E he “knew” the Intercontinental Champion would get past Apollo Crews, before telling him that as champion he has a chance to be on the Wrestlemania card. Heyman continues, and tells Big E that he could use his status as champion now, to propel himself into next years wrestlemania main event “against Roman Reigns”. E says those comments “motivate” him, and tells Heyman he will see “you and your boy” at next year’s Wrestlemania.
After Kayla sends E on his way, Heyman questions the IC Champ’s statement, and goes on a rant about how “no one ever takes their microphone”, calling it “disrespectful to Kayla. Kayla then brings on the next guest, Bianca Belair.
Bianca Belair
After a replay of Bianca’s big Royal Rumble win, Bianca joins the show, and talks about being “on top of the world”. Kayla mentions that Bianca hasn’t chosen her opponent yet, and wonders what she is waiting on. Bianca tells her “the decision will be soon” but not now. Kayla talks about noticing a “new sense of confidence” in Bianca, and turns things over to Heyman. Heyman congratulates Bianca on her performance, and say Bianca has “the perfect strategy”. Heyman tells Belair to “make everyone wait” on the decision she makes, and talks about how Bianca has “mopped the floor” with her opponents lately. Heyman continues, and tells Bianca she will go into Wrestlemania “as a challenger, and leave as a champion”. Heyman closes by telling Bianca “there is no one in your league right now”, and he looks forward to seeing Belair start her “legacy”. Heyman finishes the interview by reminding Bianca to take the microphone with her, and sends her off, while Kayla brings on the next guest.
Adam Pearce
Pearce joins Talking Smack for the first time, to Heyman’s displeasure. Heyman tells Pearce “the floor is yours”, and Adam says the reality is the floor isn’t his, it’s Heyman’s. Paul tells Kayla “he’s good”, and gives Adam some “inside intel”. Heyman says “the tale is wagging the dog” in response to Edge waiting to make his decision. Heyman threatens Pearce, saying the WWE will always move forward, plugging others into positions as they become available. Heyman continues, and tells Pearce that WWE “waits for no one”. Heyman wants to know why Pearce hasn’t made the main event for Raw at the elimination chamber yet, and talks about Edge has put Pearce “in a compromising position”. Heyman tells Adam that “Vince wants an answer, and the board of directors wants it too”. Heyman closes by saying that on Monday night, Pearce will have “no choice” about making the main event, and if he fails he will be “headed straight to the unemployment line”. He then finishes by telling Pearce that Sonya Deville “would love to fill his position, so make your next choice wisely”. Pearce looks on with a questioning face, and the show fades to black.
