WWE Talking Smack Recap: Paul Heyman Pays His Respects To New Jack

Hello again wrestling fans, and welcome back to the Talking Smack Recap! After Friday Night Smackdown came to an end, WWE taped another episode of Talking Smack, which is hosted by Kayla Braxton, and her co-host, Paul Heyman. The guests on today’s edition of the show will be Pat McAfee, Big E, Natalya, and Tamina. Now that we’re all caught up on what’s going down, it’s time to talk some smack!

Talking Smack (5/15/21)

Kayla kicks off the show by welcoming viewers back to the ThunderDome, and introduces everyone to Paul Heyman. Heyman says “I’m stressed to the max”, and goes on to say “I’m a Jew, which makes me the ultimate warrior. I take stress off of the shoulders of Roman, so let’s just have that on the record”. Kayla tells Heyman “to sit there and look pretty”, as she runs down the list of things that happened on Smackdown. Kayla and Paul talk about the latest happenings, until the first guest makes her way on to the show.

Tamina & Natalya

The new Women’s Tag Team Champions join the show, and Kayla says “it’s about time” they have the titles. Kayla asks how satisfying the big win was, and Natalya explains “destiny is always chasing. I always knew I would be a Women’s Champion, but we were never supposed to have these titles. This win is a message to anybody who had a dream, and to keep fighting for your dreams.” Kayla follows up by calling them “locker room leaders”, and asks them to speak from that perspective. Tamina says “first, I have to thank Natalya. Thank you for believing in me, and taking my side. Second, thanks to my family and kids for giving me this opportunity. Thank you to my dad. Thank you WWE Universe for sharing this moment with me and Natalya. Thank you to the people behind the scenes. Thank you all.” Kayla wonders what they want to say to the women’s locker room now, and Natalya says “these titles are a passport to represent the women’s division, and if anyone wants to challenge us, we will entertain them.” Kayla closes the segment, and the show heads to a break.

Pat McAfee

On the other side of the commercial break, Pat McAfee joins the hosts. Kayla thanks Pat for joining the show, and he calls it “an honor to be here, because Michael Cole has never been on this show.” Kayla asks how his new job is, and he says “working with Michael Cole is a dream come true. I think I’m living a dream, and I’m having fun. I’m pumped about it, I love it.” Kayla then transitions into making a few predictions with Pat, ahead of ‘Wrestlemania Backlash’, and simultaneously bickers with Heyman. Paul presses Pat to acknowledge Roman Reigns, and McAfee resists, until the show goes to a commercial break. That was odd.

Big E

When the show returns from a Peacock plug, the former Intercontinental Champion makes his way to the desk. Kayla welcomes Big E back, and he says “thanks for having me again”. Kayla kicks things off by talking about next Friday nights Fatal 4 Way match for the IC title, and E tells her “I want to win, but it’s not a Fatal 4 way. I pray no one passes. It’s more of a friendly 4 way.” Big E goes on to say “I’m winning the title next week, it’s set in stone. I look forward to reclaiming ‘uncle mo’”. E continues, and tells Kayla “I’m here to let you know, once I become Intercontinental Champion for a third time, and get momentum back, I will get to 2022, and face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.” Big E finishes by saying “I will go 8 months, 9 months, 10 months, and I will beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, and walk out as a double Champion!”

Paul Heyman

Paul shares a few words about the passing of ECW Legend New Jack. Paul explains “I avoid eulogies as much as I can, because this sucks.” Paul goes on to say “when I heard New Jack passed away, I hoped it was just a way for New Jack to go ‘gotcha’, but it’s not so, which sucks.” Paul says “usually we pay tribute in video footage form here, but we can’t do that for him, because he wasn’t PG at all.” Paul closes by saying “if anyone ever heard him cut a promo, they understood how real he was. Jerome Young was quite an individual, and every bit of New Jack that he could offer.” Paul’s last words are “I wish you all a most extreme weekend, Gangsta Style”, as the show fades to black.

That’s all for this weeks Talking Smack Recap! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day everyone!
