Hello again everyone, and welcome back to the Talking Smack Recap. As usual, Talking Smack is hosted by Kayla Braxton and Paul Heyman. The guests on the show today will be Smackdown Women’s Champion “The Boss” Sasha Banks, Cesaro, and Sami Zayn! Now that we’re all caught up, let’s take a look at what went down!
Kayla starts off the show by welcoming everyone back to Talking Smack, and reminds us we’re just over a week away from the Elimination Chamber event. Kayla continues, and talks up the upcoming Elimination Chamber match, that will determine the Number One Contender to the Universal Championship. Kayla asks Paul if he thinks Jey Uso will win the match, and he says “no”. Kayla asks more questions, and Heyman wonders if this is “the finger poke of doom or something”. Paul clearly doesn’t want to discuss those possibilities, so Kayla asks about Kevin Owens chances. Heyman tells her “I’d rather talk about Jey Uso. Kayla moves the show along, and welcomes on the first guest, Sami Zayn.
Sami Zayn
Sami brings his documentary crew to the desk, and immediately starts talking about being in the Elimination Chamber match “against all odds”. Heyman stops Sami, and “shoots from the hip”. Heyman calls the footage Zayn’s camera crew has caught “academy award worthy”. Sami talks about the odds being stacked against him, and Kayla asks about his win on Smackdown. The hosts and Sami debate how to say “against”, and Sami goes back to ranting. Sami tells us he has “video footage and concrete hard facts” that he has been wronged by management, whoever that is. Kayla wonders if Sami is “biting off more than you can chew” by possibly facing Roman Reigns. Sami tells her no, and that he has “a lot of respect for Roman Reigns”. He talks about Roman being “the golden goose of the company”, and says he “can’t take away from the fact that Roman is the very best”. Sami finishes, and tells the hosts the match “could go either way”. Kayla thinks Heyman should “not to say anything”, and wishes Sami the best.
After Sami leaves, Heyman offers up some thoughts on Sami’s comments, specifically the golden goose line. Heyman says “the golden goose controls distribution of golden eggs”, and Kayla brings on the next guest, Sasha Banks.
Sasha Banks
Sasha dances her way on to the set, and props her Smackdown Women’s Championship on the desk. Kayla begins to talk about Bianca Belair, and Sasha speaks on the possible match, saying she “would love it if Bianca chose me”. Sasha continues, and states that she will help turn Bianca “into a superstar”. Kayla brings up the fact that if Sasha chooses Bianca it will be the first time two African American women “main event” Wrestlemania. Sasha gives her thoughts on that, and then talks about Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler appearing on “her show”. Kayla asks Sasha how excited she is about being a part of the Daytona 500, and Sasha tells her “I am so excited, I can’t wait”. Kayla mentions the Broken Skull Sessions with Sasha Banks, which will be on the network next Sunday, and gets cut off by Paul. Heyman talks to Sasha about how everyone on the roster wants to be her right now, and then warns her that Bianca “is a true threat to your title reign”. Heyman continues his advice, and tells Sasha that when she talks about Bianca all he hears is “respect and admiration”. Heyman finishes by telling Banks that she will have to be “The Boss” on the night she faces Bianca, because Bianca “is that good”. Sasha closes out the interview, and confidently states to Heyman that Bianca will “have to choose me to find out”, then leaves. Up next, “The Swiss Superman” Cesaro.
Cesaro
Heyman starts off by asking Cesaro something he’s been “waiting to ask”. Cesaro cuts him off, and asks a question of his own. Cesaro wants to know if Heyman has seen Daniel Bryan, and if not then “I have a surprise”. Daniel Bryan appears, and talks about the win he and Cesaro had on Smackdown. Bryan annoys Heyman, and teases him about everyone he works with “doing as little as possible”. Bryan gives an overview of Reigns road to Wrestlemania, and congratulates Heyman for getting Roman “on the Brock contract”. Cesaro and Bryan talk about being people “who love to wrestle”, and DB wonders why Heyman left Cesaro in the past. Paul tries to talk his way out of it, but Bryan continues to run him down for his ways of handling things. Daniel talks about how much Cesaro has been in the ring, without opportunities, and wonders if Paul thinks either of them is worried after wrestling as often as they have. Bryan finishes by telling Heyman that he and Cesaro “can go all night long”. Heyman then wonders what will happen if the chamber match comes down to Bryan and Cesaro, and Cesaro responds by telling Heyman that “we saw a little preview two weeks ago when I pinned Daniel”. Daniel says he would be “absolutely honored if it came down to us”, and that if he wins “Roman is in trouble”. DB leaves, and Cesaro is speechless momentarily. Cesaro then speaks directly to Paul, saying he has “a lot of respect for Bryan”, and either of them “will beat Roman Reigns”. Cesaro states that Heyman’s “biggest fear” is having them in the final two, because he knows they would beat Roman. Cesaro continues by saying that he believes in himself, and that he works “every single day to be here because that’s who I am”. Cesaro closes by saying what you feel in your heart is who you are, and he feels he’s “going to win the Universal Championship”. Cesaro points out all the people who “know it”, and walks away, as the show fades to black.
