WWE Veteran Reportedly Set To Appear On Tonight’s Episode Of SmackDown

According to Fightful Select, WWE veteran Brock Lesnar is scheduled to travel to Chicago, Illinois, for tonight's episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Sources within WWE have suggested that Lesnar is a potential candidate to appear on the show, which, as previously reported, is rumored to be John Cena's last appearance on the program.

Additionally, the report indicates that WWE is intentionally enhancing tonight’s SmackDown episode in preparation for this month's Wrestlepalooza event, which the company is also planning to promote heavily.

Lesnar made a surprising return to WWE last month during SummerSlam 2025 when he attacked Cena after the main event of night two. It appears WWE is setting up a singles match between the two at Wrestlepalooza on September 20, although the match has not been officially confirmed yet.

Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown will take place at the Allstate Arena and will air live on the USA Network at 8 PM ET.
