WWE WrestleMania 41 Reportedly Breaks All-Time Pro Wrestling Ticket Sales Record

According to POST Wrestling, WWE WrestleMania 41 has set a new record for pro wrestling ticket sales, totaling over $66 million. The live event trade publication Pollstar reported that both nights of last year's Premium Live Event (PLE) in Las Vegas grossed $66,074,558 in ticket sales.

The report explains that if we assume the revenue from both nights of WrestleMania 41 was distributed evenly, each night would have generated approximately $33 million. This total significantly surpasses any previous pro wrestling event, even when adjusted for inflation.

The announced attendance for the PLE was reported as 61,467 for night one and 63,226 for night two. However, the Las Vegas Sports Authority later announced attendance figures of 58,538 for night one and 60,103 for night two, resulting in a combined total of 118,641 attendees. In contrast, Pollstar's figures indicate a total attendance of 113,412, suggesting that the Sports Authority may have included additional entries beyond just ticket sales.

The average ticket price for WrestleMania 41 was approximately $635. For comparison, WrestleMania 40 had an average ticket price of $341, with its two nights grossing $17.7 million and $18.4 million, respectively. The previous record holder, when adjusted for inflation, was WrestleMania 32, which grossed $17.3 million (equivalent to $23 million today).

WrestleMania 42 is scheduled to return to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday, April 18th, and Sunday, April 19th. Both shows will be broadcast live on the ESPN Unlimited app in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
