WWE WrestleMania 42 Notes: Announced Attendance, Title Changes, Bianca Belair, Paige Returns

Night one of WWE WrestleMania 42 is in the books and there were a couple of notable happenings and events from the show. Below is a quick recap:

  • Bron Breakker made his return to TV, interfering in the GUNTHER vs. Seth Rollins match by laying Rollins with a Spear before GUNTHER was able to lock in a sleeper to secure the win. Breakker has been out of action since February after requiring hernia surgery which ended up causing WWE to scrap a highly likely match against Rollins at WrestleMania. Reports last month indicated that Breakker was cleared to return but WWE didn't want to rush the storyline with Rollins just for the sake of getting it on the WrestleMania card.
  • Paige has returned to WWE after an absence of almost four years and after having last wrestled in WWE over eight years ago. In between, she appeared in AEW under her real name Saraya and news of her return was leaked yesterday. She has signed a multi-year contract as a wrestler so obviously WWE's medical team has cleared her for all activity after previously disqualifying her.
  • There were multiple title changes - all on the women's side as Liv Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer to capture the World Title while the returning Paige teamed up with Brie Bella to capture the Women's Tag Team titles. Becky Lynch also defeated AJ Lee to recapture the Women's Intercontinental Title.
  • Bianca Belair appeared at WrestleMania and got in the ring for an announcement. Sidelined for over a year with many expecting an imminent return from a complicated finger injury, Belair instead announced that she's pregnant. Suffice to say, she remains out of action indefinitely.
  • WrestleMania host John Cena announced the Night One attendance at 50,816.
