-- WWE's biggest event of the year, WrestleMania XL, takes place over two nights this weekend and it serves as having the distinction of being the first WrestleMania ever to have no influence from Vince McMahon in any way and a report from fightfulselect.com states that people within WWE are excited about that.
-- In early 2023, McMahon had used his ownership powers and bullied his way back into the company and then very soon after, he began immersing himself into the creative aspects of the company, ordering changes to TV scripts as he had done for years before. While he was never directly present and dealing with the creative team, he would reportedly regularly call in to make adjustments or simply to disapprove of aspects of Raw or Smackdown or of people involved in the shows. However, McMahon then showed up physically at last year's WrestleMania weekend and changed the finish of at least one match at the event, flipping the winner and loser.
-- This year, things are different as McMahon first helped sell WWE to Endeavor and then left after a sexual assault lawsuit was levied against him, meaning he has no influence at all over WrestleMania - directly or indirectly. Sources within WWE believe that nobody has any incentive to further any creative preferences or agents that McMahon held and that he himself isn't even thinking of WWE at the moment and is more concerned in getting himself out of the tangled legal mess that he is in. The fightful report added that one top talent said there is "an aura of excitement" this week and that the dark cloud hanging over a fear that McMahon would suddenly show up and "f*ck up everyone's good time" is absent. Nobody expects McMahon to "pop up" at the show.
-- WWE's Raw after WrestleMania has been another big event in recent times and multiple people within the company have noted that it is another "point of excitement" mainly due to the fact that the show will air unimpeded without Vince there and be an episode that the fans will remember rather than an "event." Last year, McMahon also showed up for Raw after 'Mania and made major changes that led to a heavily criticized show by the audience. People who were familiar with the situation believed that Raw was much better before McMahon showed up and ordered his changes.
