The IWGP World Heavyweight Championship bout appears set for the upcoming AEW and NJPW joint-event in January.
During the NJPW Power Struggle 2024 show on November 4 in Osaka, Japan, Ricochet attacked Zack Sabre Jr. and challenged him for a shot at the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at the upcoming NJPW x AEW: Wrestle Dynasty 2025 show.
NJPW x AEW: Wrestle Dynasty 2025 is scheduled to take place on January 5.
