Update on the Brock Lesnar Lawsuit Against WWE; Possibilities for WrestleMania

As reported, On March 3rd World Wrestling Entertainment filed a motion with the courts asking for an extension to April 1sr before they legally have to answer the Brock Lesnar lawsuit brought against them in February. Both parties have until May 4th before they can file motions to dismiss the lawsuit.

Lesnar filed a lawsuit against WWE on the grounds of not being allowed to make a living legally due to his WWE contract.

When Lesnar signed on with WWE, he signed with a “no-compete” clause, legally disallowing him to work with any major WWE competitor around the world. But since WWE denied Lesnar to sign back on after the NFL turned him down, Lesnar felt left out in the cold not being able to continue to work in the wrestling industry.

If Lesnar could have some sort of a role at WrestleMania, no matter how far of a stretch that is for WWE, you can bet that the lawsuit would be dropped. There is nothing set in stone, but considering that they have until May to drop the lawsuit and WrestleMania being in April, look for some sort of an offer coming from one party to do something at WrestleMania in exchange for dropping the suit.
