Hey guys, it's The Worm here. I must apologize for not doing the RAW report tonight. I overslept and didn't wake up until it was the middle of the Triple H vs. Benoit match. If, by some chance, someone taped RAW and wouldn't mind sending me a copy of the video, let me know. I would really love to see the Rockers reunite for one night only. In the mean time, here is the RAW report from Pro Wrestling Insider:
Raw Report for March 14, 2005
by Richard Trionfo
One year ago tonight, Chris Benoit defeated Shawn Michaels and Triple H at Wrestlemania XX to become the World Heavyweight champion. What a difference a year makes because we will have Chris Benoit facing Triple H. What other things will happen to set up Wrestlemania 21, next month in Los Angeles.
We are live from Atlanta, Georgia and your announcers are Jim ‘BBQ Bulldog’ Ross and Jerry ‘Gold Club’ Lawler.
We start off with Chris Jericho in the ring for the Highlight Reel and he is on a ladder. Chris says that every superstar who comes to the ring has the same goal in mind. That is to climb the ladder of success one rung at a time to become the World Champion. Chris says that he will get the chance at Wrestlemania when he wins the Money in the Bank ladder match. He will become the World champion once again. Chris says that Wrestlemania is about taking chances and reaching new heights. Chris’s guest is the man who is willing to challenge the Undertaker at Wrestlemania, Randy Orton. Randy comes to the ring and he grabs a mic. Chris tells Rand that this is not giving an RKO to the Fabulous Moolah. What makes Randy think that he can end Taker’s streak at Wrestlemania. Randy says that Taker is a phenom and a legend, a future Hall of Famer. Randy says that he wants to be in the Hall of Fame, and in order to do that, he needs to end Taker’s winning streak. Randy says that there are a lot of people who do not think that he can do it. Randy talks about how he surprised people by beating Mick Foley at Wrestlemania. He surprised people last summer when he became the youngest heavyweight champion ever. On Thursday, Taker will find out that Randy is full of surprises. Chris says that he likes surprises too. Chris has a surprise for Randy. Chris says that he has never faced Taker at Wrestlemania. His guest faced Taker at Wrestlemania 8. His guest is Stone Mountain, Georgia. It is Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts. Jake comes to the ring (with a bag over his shoulder). Do you remember when Jake wrestled at Wrestlemania III? How about at Wrestlemania VII against Rick Martel? What about Jake scaring Kamala? Jake gets a mic and says that it is good to be back. He says that he knows Randy’s grandfather and his father. He has respect for his father. However, he does not know Randy that well. Jake mentions that Randy does not have the title, so he must have lost it at some point. Jake says that he is here to do a favor for Randy’s father. Jake says that he needs to reintroduce Randy’s brain to his mouth because he is talking out of his ass. Jake says that he will shut Randy’s hole. Randy says that he has learned a lot of lessons in life. It is not about winning or losing against the Undertaker, it is about leaving the ring with your soul. Randy talks about how people leave the ring with an empty feeling inside. He suggests that Jake knows about that since he lost at Wrestlemania VIII. Did Jake feel empty, cold, and afraid? Randy says that he refuses to be afraid. At Wrestlemania, Randy says that he will make a bigger impact than Jake did in his entire career. Jake says that he is going to show 12 feet of ‘impact.
