Hey yo welcome back. International Heat is set to begin. Who's Val Venis fighting this week you ask.... we'll have to see as kicking things off first is..................
Robert Conway vs Trevor Murdoch
Conway is without Sylvain and the flags this week as he faces a whiter than white Dusty Rhodes lookalike minus the fatness LOL. On a more serious note though I think he's actually a relative of the late Dick Murdoch. Conway gets some mic time before the bout and says there was a little disagreement last week between him and Sylvain on who has been carrying the greatest tag team in the history of the WWE La Resistance. Last week they had a chance to prove who was the man. Sylvain was completely demolished by Viscera while he faced the Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin and he was cheated. But tonight we get another opportunity to prove just who is the contender and who's the pretender. Lockup and Conway slaps the face of Murdoch. Conway punches and kicks Murdoch down in the corner. Murdoch's head gets driven into the turnbuckles. Conway clubs him down by the neck before slapping him in the face again and talking trash. USA USA can now be heard as Conway chops Murdoch in the corner and punches. Conway chokes with his boot and motions he's number one to the crowd who boo. Murdoch gets some punches in, Conway cuts him off with a boot to the gut, Irish whip, Murdoch floats over but no-one's there and Conway drops Murdoch with an axehandle to the back. Conway drives Murdoch shoulderfirst into the ringpost. Conway pulls Murdoch in from the apron and puts the boots to him. Conway repeatedly drives his shoulder into Murdochs before trapping Murdoch's arm behind his head. A You Suck chant starts as Conway boots Murdoch's chest, winds up the arm and reels him in but Murdoch plants Conway. Conway boots Murdoch again and hits an armbar takedown. Conway mounts Murdoch on the canvas and delivers a series of roundhouses before grabbing the neck and cranking it round into a crouching neckbreaker. Murdoch slowly twists back round and punches free. Both exchange punches until Murdoch breaks out the stomping right hands and finishes off with the bionic elbow ala Dusty Rhodes. A moment of hesitation on Murdoch's part allows Conway to reverse into the ropes and apply a sleeper but Murdoch quickly escapes and counters into a back suplex. Both men are down, Conway gets up and approaches Murdoch who staves him off with punches to the gut. Murdoch gets up and punches Conway some more. Conway reverses an Irish whip but charges into an elbow. Conway charges again and this time eats a big boot. Murdoch fires up but charges into a Conway powerslam. Conway motions it's all in the mind before picking up Murdoch and hitting a one man au revoir via the ropes. Conway's not satisfied though and he drops down and locks in an armbar and Murdoch taps out immediately. Here is Your Winner: ROBERT CONWAY.
Still to come William Regal vs Romeo Heart Throb.
Up next Ric Flair confronts Batista on Raw.
Raw promo airs.
Batista gives respect to Ric Flair backstage on Raw after we see clips of Triple H leaving Raw two weeks ago. Ric Flair teaches him how to Whoo properly. Flair defeats Christian via a rollup with assistance from the ropes and Batista saves Flair from a post match beatdown from Christian and Tyson Tomko by annihalating both with powerbombs galore. Captain Charisma is deserving of much better treatment, maybe a change of scenery will do him good.
Judgment Day 'I Quit' promo airs.
Commercial.
Eric Bischoff stops an ECW Rules match between Chris Benoit and Tajiri on Raw and bans everything ECW from Raw. He vows to stop the PPV with Raw volunteers. Bischoff's in for a hurting.
SmackDown! UK Summer Bash promo airs. WWE.Com for details.
William Regal w/Tajiri vs Romeo w/Antonio
Romeo is sporting a shiner now aswell as Antonio and this is before the match has begun. Is this a sign that Bob Holly is transferring to Raw or did Regal simply get him backstage. The Heart Throbs are doing their fag routine on the ramp and apron but Regal can't stand it and brings Romeo into the ring where he delivers an Irish whip and backbodydrop. Regal forearms Romeo down then throws him onto the apron. Regal goes out, drives knees to Romeo's head before throwing him face first onto the apron. Regal punches Romeo's chest, rolls back in and Romeo delivers a cheap shot to the gut of Regal after feigning mercy. Romeo applies a side headlock, Regal sends Romeo off the ropes and runs the ropes himself opposite attempting to psyche out the Heart Throb but Romeo ducks outside and alongside Antonio the Heart Throbs laugh and wiggle at Regal until Tajiri comes from behind and drives them both face first into the ring apron before throwing Romeo back in and scurrying back to his corner on the outside. Regal hits a jumping kneelift before delivering an Irish whip and unleashing a dropkick to Romeo. Regal goes for the pin but Romeo hooks the bottom rope at one. Regal protests but cheekily chokes Romeo with his knee at the same time unbeknownst to the referee. Regal goes to grab Romeo, Romeo drives him into the corner and drives his head into Regal's midsection before punching him down. Romeo stomps Regal, bounces him off the ropes and a knee to the gut puts Regal down. Romeo plays to the crowd gets a one count, Romeo chokes Regal in the ropes in front of Tajiri. Romeo forearms Regal to the corner, delivers a boot, drives him back to the corner and hits a knee to the chest. Romeo with an Irish whip and backbodydrop. Romeo covers for a two, Regal off the ropes, Romeo catches him in an abdominal stretch. Although Tajiri stops Antonio from helping Romeo, Romeo uses the ropes as unfair leverage a few times and wipes his elbow down Regal's back until Regal pounds Romeo's head. Romeo with a series of knees send Regal to the corner. Romeo punches, Irish whip, Regal puts on the brakes in the corner but turns into a clothesline by Romeo. Romeo wiggles to draw heat, Romeo gets a two count and beats on the chest of Regal. Regal punches back and hits a double underhook suplex. Regal covers for a two, Romeo stomps Regal, Regal pulls Romeo in and sends him through the ropes. Romeo gets on the apron. attempts a headbutt, Regal is out of the way and he clubs Romeo's back. Regal goes to suplex Romeo back in, Romeo goes over Regal and lands on his feet nearly. Romeo off the ropes runs into a Regal forearm. Regal measures Romeo before coming off the ropes and hitting him with a running knee to the head. That should do it. Regal covers 1-2-no Antonio interferes and The Heart Throbs are going to be DQed two weeks in a row. Tajiri enters to beat down on Antonio and both Heart Throbs roll outside and start to retreat to the back. This feud is far from over as Antonio clearly reminds us on his way to the back. Here is Your Winner Via DQ: WILLIAM REGAL.
Later Edge vowed to beat Kane as he intimidated Lita on Raw.
Up next Randy Orton stopped by Raw and had some things on his mind.
Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio Judgment Day promo airs.
Commercial.
Highlights air of Undertaker and Batista combining to put Randy Orton on the shelf. Orton tells Vince McMahon on Raw he's exempt from the draft. Vince says no-one is. Orton tells Vince to re-think and realize who he's talking to before saying he's going to be carrying the company for the next 15 years and will make more money for him than both John Cena and Batista combined. Orton wants politeness from Vince and wants to know when the draft is. Vince says three weeks (6th June) and it will be a draft month going back and forth. (WWE.Com for more details). Vince suggests Orton takes some time off to train, gain weight and let his hair grow out before wishing 'the kid' good luck and tapping his injured shoulder.
Batista promo airs.
Backstage we see William Regal talking to Tajiri and he's in disbelief as everytime he gets his hands on one of the Heart Throbs the other one comes in and the same goes for when Tajiri gets his hands on one of them. Regal doesn't know what else to do, he has no idea. Cue 'dumb' Maria (Yabba Dabba) who asks if Regal wants to fight the Heart Throbs again after what's just happened. Regal says 'Do I want to fight them of course I want to fight them, what's the matter with you?'. Everytime I get my hands on one of them the other one comes in. I just knocked one out with my kneedrop right to the face, down he went, just about to cover him and the other one comes in and I don't know what to do.' Tajiri spouts some Japanese and Regal says looking confused 'A Texas Tornado match what on earth is that, what are you talking about?' Tajiri spouts more Japanese, Regal says (trying to sum it all up and make sense of it all) 'So all four wrestlers in the ring at the same time, the bell goes and we just fight that's a brilliant idea.' Tajiri agrees. Regal concludes by saying 'Right an open challenge to the Heart Throbs next week on Heat. A Texas Tornado match William Regal & Tajiri against the Heart Throbs. Now it's an open challenge so it's up to them. Tajiri come on.' They leave as Maria stays nodding accordingly.
Highlights of Gold Rush tournament final on Raw. Lita screws Kane and Matt Hardy somemore by uniting with Edge who bashes Kane with the briefcase handed to him by Lita. Edge vs Batista happens tomorrow night on Raw for the World Title. I predict interference galore. Tasteless ending seeing Lita and Edge passionately embracing.
Edge Raw promo airs.
Commercial.
Sylvain Grenier vs Val Venis
Sylvain hasn't neglected the flag and treats us all to Oh Canada before it's interrupted by The Big Valbowski. Helllllllllllllllloooooooo Ladies. We see some clips of hot women for a change during Val's entrance as he deposits the towel in the corner. Both lockup and nothing's giving in the centre of the ring until Sylvain manages to back Val to the corner where he takes Val's towel and breaks. Sylvain mops his brow before throwing the towel at Val. Val places it down and locks back up with Grenier. Val with a side headlock. Grenier punches Val's back, Val hits a shouldertackle off the ropes. Val steps over Grenier, Grenier leaps over Val twice (just) Val counters a hiptoss with one of his own. Val with two armdrag takedowns waves a fist at Grenier to send him back to the corner. Grenier knees Val in the gut. Grenier with a series of punches in the corner. Val reverses an Irish whip, backelbows Grenier down. Val with a backslide then a small package for two. Grenier rolls outside, Val reaches to grab Grenier, Grenier trips Val, Val sends Grenier into the guardrail with his boots. Val jumps off the apron but Grenier moves and Val crashes and burns. Grenier rolls in to break the count, comes back out and boots Val. Back inside Grenier covers for a two then a one count. Grenier slaps Val, Val off the ropes, flapjack, kip up and wiggle by Grenier. Grenier gets a two count, Grenier delivers a Mark of Excellence which gets another two before locking in a bodyscissors. Grenier with shots to the back of Val, Val turns it around and delivers mounted punches to Grenier's head. Val catches Grenier's swing attempt and turns it into a half nelson slam. Grenier goes to the corner, Val follows in with a clothesline. Val delivers ten short arm clotheslines, Grenier on jelly legs walks into a Val spinebuster and Val signals for the end. Val climbs to the top rope, comes off and hits Grenier with the Money Shot. 1-2-3. Good showing by Val, has he turned a corner? Two in a row for Val. Now give the man a decent storyline as he does have skills. Let's hope they stop jobbing him out. See I'm not a Val Venis basher Here is Your Winner: VAL VENIS.
Loyd and Grisham shill for Raw before Grisham signs off and thanks us for watching. End of Show. I'll be back later on with the Pre-Judgment Day Sunday Night Heat recap. Quick predictions for the PPV for what it's worth are (JOHN CENA, EDDIE GUERRERO, KURT ANGLE, CARLITO, PAUL LONDON, HEIDENREICH, MNM).
Later Shaun.
