By Shaun Best-Rajah.Com Reporter
Commentators Todd Grisham & Jonathan Coachman
Welcome back everybody. Say it isn't so, I've heard Heat maybe coming to an end following WWE's deal with USA Network. I sincerely hope not as it's a good show and I love recapping it. Keep Heat going it's been going for years now. Don't ruin a tradition WWE. Back to here and now and despite no Val Venis this week Heat still has a star studded lineup and we begin this week with.........
Maven vs Lance Storm
Maven makes his way out with his Maven belt and he and Coach give each other the usual weekly props. Maven has a Mic in hand and informs us tonight he was supposed to have a match with Tajiri, but Tajiri isn't there citing a personal reason. Maven says the truth is Tajiri is scared of him and the rest of Eric Bischoff's crusaders and what they're going to do at next week's ECW One Night Stand. Maven explains why someone with a pretty face and beautiful irresistible body (him) would care about a vile company like ECW. Maven says he finds ECW a dungheap, a toilet, a sewer that needs to be cleaned up by any means necessary even if he has to get his boots a little dirty. Right now Maven invites any so-called extreme wrestler to come on down and challenge him and he'll show him and everyone in the building what a real wrestler looks like. Cue Lance Storm and a big hometown pop literally as Lance Storm has come back home. Lance looks pumped to be back even if it's his penultimate match. Lance salutes the crowd and acknowledges the ECW chant echoing around the arena as this one gets underway. Maven with a side headlock, Storm into an armbar takedown. Storm with an armwringer and headlock of his own. Maven sends him off the ropes, Storm with a duck underneath, backelbows Maven down. Storm nails a beautiful delayed vertical suplex displaying no balancing arms for a while due to him egging the crowd on which gets him a loud pop and then a two count. Maven knees Storm's gut, Irish whip, Storm floats over Maven, Maven takes a shortcut with a poke to the eye. Maven with an Irish whip, Maven off the ropes shoves Storm down and delivers boots and drops an elbow to the back as a Maven sucks chant starts. Maven holds Storm's head and delivers punches before shoving it onto the mat. Storm tries to punch back but Maven clubs and stomps Storm's back. Maven pushes Storm into the ropes and Storm blindly rebounds and Maven drives a punch into Storm's back. Maven with a back suplex for two. Maven picks up Storm and delivers a measured dropkick. Maven flexes to boos before cinching in a reverse chinlock. Storm starts to rise up and elbows Maven's gut. Maven clubs Storm's back but Storm cuts off Maven's punch attempt with a boot and Lance fights back with a punch and chop. Maven's whipped off the ropes into a backelbow by Storm. Storm with two clotheslines starts to fire up. Maven reverses Storm into the ropes and dodges Storm's flying cross body attempt and Storm rolls under the bottom rope to the outside. Maven picks up his belt but the referee takes it away and takes it to the corner. Maven ducks his head outside to get Storm but Storm has a chair and jams it into Maven's throat behind the referee's back. Storm nails a springboard cross body on Maven from the top rope and the referee registers the three count. 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: LANCE STORM. Post match Storm once again salutes the crowd and takes some bows along with the momentum going into ECW One Night Stand next Sunday. Nice opener by the way.
Still to come Simon Dean vs Chris Jericho.
Up next Kane on the Highlight Reel from Raw last Monday.
Y2J promo airs.
Chris Jericho riles up Kane on the Highlight Reel before Edge and Lita interrupt from backstage and stick it to Matt Hardy I mean 'Kane' some more. Lita wants a divorce, and she and Edge mock Kane and flush her wedding ring down the toilet. Edge and Lita make out and Kane is in pain. Kane as a face doesn't do it for me. Turn him heel it isn't too late or failing that draft him to SmackDown! for a fresh start.

WWE Rewind. Raw last Monday The Hurricane and Rosey retain the World Tag Titles against The Heart Throbs.
William Regal vs Synn
Regal is well received in Canada. Lockup leads to Synn backing Regal to the corner but Regal cheekily traps his two legs in between one of Synn's resulting in Synn being unable to break and backaway and he receives a telling off from the referee who reminds him of a five count while Regal smirks. One could say Synn was Sinful (LOL). Regal works a go-behind then a single arm takedown into a wristlock. Synn reverses and applies some pressure and he attempts a hammerlock but Regal pushes Synn away by the face and after both try to gain a solid hold of one another Regal turns Synn around and forearms him. Regal delivers an uppercut, snapmare and kneedrop, two count. Regal with a facelock into a headlock. Regal off the ropes, shouldertackles Synn down. Regal with a half nelson on the canvas now Synn on his feet is trapped in a facelock by Regal. Regal with an armwringer reels in Synn and punches him down. Regal drops a knee, applies a keylock submission before getting Synn to his feet and delivering standing kneelifts with an uppercut finally putting Synn back down again. Regal gets Synn up, Synn rakes Regal's face, Regal whipped off the ropes holds on as Synn's dropkick attempt meets the air and he goes crashing down. Regal with a double underhook suplex, two count. Regal applies a chinlock whilst wedging his knee in Synn's back but it doesn't last long as Regal pulls away at Synn's nose while looking innocently at the referee. Regal with a jumping kneelift punches Synn to the corner. Regal punishes the chest of Synn with two punches, Irish whip, Regal charges in with a backelbow. Regal with a half nelson throwaway slam as Synn lands on his head. 1-2-kickout. Regal is taken aback but lets out a wry smile as he picks up Synn and uppercuts him. Regal with a jumping kneelift now a single leg takedown into a cover and another two count. Regal picks up Synn by the hair, drives a boot to the gut. Regal runs the ropes and clocks Synn with a knee trembler. It's over now 1-2-3. Squash match World of Sport style for old school British Wrestling fans. 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: WILLIAM REGAL. Post match Regal shows the muscles on his arm.
Later Muhammad Hassan w/Daivari vs Batista from Raw.
Next Chris Benoit vs Edge in a Tables match from Raw.
ECW One Night Stand promo airs. (Sky Sports 1 Next Sunday at 1am for the UK)
WWE Slam of the Week: on Raw two weeks ago Chris Benoit defeats Tajiri in an ECW Rules match via a Crippler Crossface with assistance from a kendo stick/singapore cane.
Edge defeats Chris Benoit in a table match on Raw following help from Eric Bischoff's Crusaders. (Maven, Tyson Tomko and a returning Gene Snitsky) Bischoff poses with his crusaders and Edge and Lita post match before taunting Paul Heyman and saying it's a sample of what's going to happen to ECW on June 12th. As I said in my Velocity Report I disagree with WWE's approach to this PPV but I won't get into it again. Let's all hope Triple H doesn't decide to make an appearance though.
Don't Try This At Home.

Tyson Tomko vs Wavell Starr
Sign Note: Sign Wavell Starr. He's announced from Calgary, Canada and looks a cross between Frankie Kazarian and Steven Seagal. I remember him from Heat not so long back as he jobbed to Tajiri. Let's see how he fares against Tomko. Tomko isn't over at all unlike Captain Charisma was on Raw. He's definitely on the up and the Christian Coalition is growing day-by-day. Sadly Tomko's prospects don't look that good especially if he's separated from Christian in the draft starting tomorrow night. Both lockup, Tomko backs to the corner and slaps Starr. Starr charges into a second lockup and Tomko shoves him to the mat face first. Tyson boots the head of Starr and drives his face into the mat some more before pummeling Starr's head with punches. Tomko scoops up Starr and goes for snake eyes but Starr slips down and shoves Tomko to the corner. Tomko picks up Starr and places him on the top rope before shoving him off to the outside. Tomko doesn't want a count out so he goes out and drives Starr into the guardrail before slamming him across the apron and pummeling with more punches underneath the bottom rope. Back inside Tomko repeatedly drives knees into the fallen Starr's head. Tomko picks up Starr and reels him in connecting with a stiff clothesline. Tomko chokes Starr on the mat then throws Starr's head down onto the canvas. Starr from the canvas manages a kick to the back of Tomko's leg but he can't follow up and Tomko lands another boot to the head. Tomko picks up Starr delivers a slap, reels him in for another clothesline but Starr ducks and dropkicks Tomko's knee. Starr uses the ropes to help himself up as Tomko measures Starr and delivers a big boot resulting in Starr's head bouncing off the bottom rope before hitting the canvas. The referee checks on Starr who isn't moving and is out cold and calls for the bell. It's a knockout. Here is Your Winner: TYSON TOMKO. Note. We want Bret could be heard during the close of this match. Also Tomko was portrayed as a monster then but last time he got a KO victory like that he was jobbed out to Ric Flair in like two minutes on the subsequent Raw so read into this what you will.
Still to come Simon Dean vs Chris Jericho.
Up next Batista vs Muhammad Hassan from Raw.
SmackDown! UK Summer Bash promo airs. WWE.Com for details.
From Raw Triple H boasts about his annual Hell in a Cell accomplishments before telling Batista to fear him and not the cell. Batista won't be coming back from Hell but Triple H likes it and will be coming back World Heavyweight Champion. The live crowd are more bothered with some guy getting ejected during this promo as we can all hear the na na na na hey hey hey goodbye. Batista gets DQed in his match for choking Muhammad Hassan and following this Batista snaps and busts both Hassan and Daivari open before dishing out Batista Bombs and posing with his belt.
This week on Raw it's the Batista/Triple H contract signing for Hell in a Cell at Vengeance.
Commercial.
WWE Draft Lottery begins tomorrow night on Raw.
Simon Dean vs Chris Jericho
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhhh Here comes Nova with his Simon System belt, gym bag and mic in hand. Simon calls the Canadian crowd a bunch of fat posers. Their midsections are fat enough to tattoo Saskatchewan on their bellies. Simon says with a commitment to the Simon System he can get them in shape and looking like NHL Hockey stars on TV. Wait a minute Simon says it's his fault as he forgot that there are no NHL Hockey stars on TV anymore. Y2J gets a monster pop from the crowd and we are reminded that Raw's first pick tomorrow night will be a guest on Chris Jericho's highlight reel. I'm predicting Kurt Angle. Bell rings and a Y2J chant breaks out which Jericho encourages. No ECW chant though. Lockup, break, Simon talks trash and both exchange shoves until Jericho punches Dean down. Dean off the ropes backelbow by Jericho. Jericho with a punch, drives Dean's head into the corner. Jericho with a chop and club to the neck, Dean off the ropes, Dean boots Jericho in the head. Dean off the ropes charges into a Jericho dropkick. Dean rolls to the apron, Jericho hits a springboard dropkick to knock Dean off. Jericho baseball slides Dean into the guardrail before dropping him onto it headfirst. Jericho rolls him back in and back inside Jericho punts Dean and looks out to the crowd before saluting. Jericho stomps a mudhole in the corner, the referee separates which distracts Jericho. Jericho informs the referee he's a sexy beast before turning back to Simon Dean who delivers a kick to the gut and shoves Jericho down. Simon kicks then punches the chest of Jericho before driving knees to the throat area. Dean kicks Jericho's back, pulls him up by the hair and boots him. Jericho chops back, Dean cuts off a whip to the ropes, reels in Jericho and delivers a legsweep/STO. Simon covers for two before applying his new hold which Todd informs us is called the Curbstomp. Simon then gets another two count and stretches Jericho's arms on the mat. A Y2J chant can be heard again as Jericho gets to a vertical base and elbows free. Simon punches Jericho into the corner but eats boot upon a charge. Jericho with chops, Dean reverses into the ropes, Jericho with a flying forearm. Jericho uses Dean's back as a treadmill then runs the ropes and a shouldertackle puts Dean down. Jericho with a running enziguiri and Dean is in the ropes. Jericho goes to spike Dean, Dean moves but Jericho leaps over and onto the apron. Dean turns to get a poke in the eye by Jericho. Jericho smiles before vaulting back in over Simon and into a rollup no Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho. Dean manages to thwart Jericho before it's too late and wriggle free and push Jericho into the corner. Dean gets up and charges into a Jericho boot. Jericho nails a bulldog, Dean rolls away from the lionsault, Jericho lands on his feet awkwardly slightly favouring one of them. Dean charges forwards, Jericho hotshots him into the top rope. Jericho stalks Dean, takes him down and cinches in the Walls of Jericho. It doesn't take long for Dean to tap. Here is Your Winner via Submission: CHRIS JERICHO. Post match Jericho celebrates in the ring then with the fans and poses with a fans white cowboy hat on.
Grisham and Coach shill for everything Raw tomorrow night before Grisham signs off and thanks us for watching. End of show. I'll be back next week with Velocity and Heat. Until then take care and have a good week everybody. Later, Shaun.
