Raw airs live tonight from St. Louis Missouri.
The show begins with a preview of what to come tonight, Jericho's highlite
reel with the 1st lottery draft pick, as well as the contract signing
between HHH and Batista.
Bischoff and Coach are in the back and Eric explains how tonight is going to
be his shining moment.
Jericho's highlite reel is set up in the ring as the pyro goes off and out
comes Jericho. Jericho explains how he is interviewing the first pick in the
draft lottery. So without further adue here he is! There is a long pause
of tension then his music hits...IT IS JOHN CENA. The crowd went nuts for
him as he took his long walk out, Raw now has BOTH champs. Jericho and John
talk about their music careers and how similar the two are in the wrestling
world when Christian comes out. Christian Calls Cena a poser and tries to
do a rap. John Cena takes the Mic and totally disses Christian. Talks
about how christian went from the brood to this, and how Gangrel sucked
blood while Christian sucked something else. Christian and Tomko attack
Cena but are easily fought off and destroyed by Cena and Jericho. They pose
for a moment and we go to commercial.
When we come back they show a quick promo for the Raw Diva Search.
Next up is a 2 on 1 for the intercontinental championship.
Hassan and Divari vs. Shelton Benjamin
- There were no big spots in this, just alot of USA chants. Hassan pins
Benjamin for the 1-2-3 after a downward spiral, benjamins leg was on the
rope but the ref did not see until after the 3 count. This prompts another
commercial. When we come back the match has been restarted and in about 2
minutes Benjamin hits the T-bone and gets the win to retain.
Winner and still WWE IC Champ: Benjamin.
we go to another commercial. ECW PPV ad airs using Bodies by Drowning Pool
as their theme music again....
Tajiri is shown with Regal in the back. Regal asks Tajiri where he's been
and tries to tell him not to be part of ECW, Benoit joins and backs Tajiri,
we learn Benoit vs. Snitzky tonight ECW rules, talks how ECW gave Tajiri a
chance, says they will have fun at the PPV, Regal is disgusted and says
theyre either with him or against him, Tajiri starts a loud ECW chant, hes
made his choice!
We then go to Bischoff and Coach, coach tells bischoff Heyman is coming
tonight, and he's not alone!!! Bischoff says its just a rumor. Hassan and
Divari then come in pissed off. Say they were humiliated and will not
tolerate it. Hassan demands Bischoff overturn the last matches decision,
Bischoff says no but next week Hassan and Divari will have to deal with, in
the ring of course, STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN!!!!
another commercial.....
We return and out comes young Chris Masters, but not for the Masterlock
challenge, but a one on one match instead. His opponent tonigh is Val
Venis.
Val Venis vs. Chris Masters
- Val attacks Masters before Masters can even make his way to the ring and
dominates and punishes Masters for the first few minutes. Val is now
getting some cheers from the crowd and is playing along well and gets some
loud pops here and there. Masters fights back on the outside and takes
charge...but only for a few seconds because here comes Val again. Back and
forth action for a few minutes with a few near falls for Venis and a spot
where Masters loses his trunks! Yikes! Val takes a spot where he lands on
the back of his neck hard and then a masterlock where Val almost escapes but
to no avail.
Winner: "Masterpiece" Chris Masters.
Backstage Flair is hyping up Triple H for the HIAC contract signing coming
up next....
We return to Bischoffs music and security surrounding him with a table and
red carpet in the ring. Bischoff warns the crowd that Heyman is coming here
tonight and he's not alone...Bischoff DARES him to show up tonight. Rips
ECW saying Heyman made it fail. Bischoff sucks up to Triple H, a WWE
wrestler, and is one of the greatest today. He then welcomes the Game to a
chorus of boos backing the Motorhead music. Bischoff informs HHH that the
draft lottery is protected in the unlikely event that either Trip or Batista
are drafted, Hell In A Cell will still take place. Triple H speaks and says
he has prepared a treat for us to prove how great he is in Hell In a Cell,
it's a video, a quite good one too, on HIAC history with Triple H. Batista
is next to a THUNDEROUS ovation, and he looks pissed. They stare eachother
down and Batista takes the mic. Some more Cell talk and Batista says he
doesn't care what it's like and he knows they're going to hell and he's
ready to pay for his sins. Batista doesn't fear the Cell and he doesn't
fear HHH. Bischoff interrupts and says it's time to make this official,
they both sit down, both view the contract, and HHH is to sign first. He
does without hesitation, as does Batista, IT IS OFFICIAL!!!
Stare downs continue and HHH tells Batista he just signed his own death
warrant, Batista replies and says Good, he will be dead when he gives that
belt up. HHH says after HIAC it will be over for good and...the
hell....holds out his hand, Batista accepts and they shake. Both men begin
to get ready to fight, but Triple H backs off and we go to commercial....
We return to a recap of the John Cena incident earlier tonight.
The Heartthrobs music hits and out they come, but they're not alone, they're
with Victoria for 6-person tag action.
HeartThrobs and Victoria vs. Rosey, Hurricane and Christie Hemming
Slow going match with Hurricane and Antonia starting off. Lot's of
interferance by Romeo and Antonio on Hurricane for most of the match.
Victoria and Christie get a small spot in the match with the faces taking
the lead. The ring swarms with everyone in the match all of a sudden but
Christie gets her team DQ'd with chokes and a brutal beating on Victoria.
Winners By Disqualification: Heart Throbs and Victoria.
Bischoff shown in the back talking to an employee to tell Heyman he's got a
fight when he gets here. He walks into his office and John Cena is in there
waiting for him. Bischoff thanks him for being here and Cenas got his first
match next week when he teams with Jericho to take on Christian and Tomko.
Bischoff says him and Cena can have a great relationship to Cenas
disgust...if you know what he means. Bischoff tries to recruit Cena for
his anti-ECW thing but Cena says no because he does not play politics.
Bischoff is mad as we go to commercial....
We are welcomed back by JR and King as they talk about Viscera and Lilian
and how they have hooked up...and Lilian is missing tonight. This leads
into the Edge-Lita Saga as we recap what happened last week where Lita
emotionally rips apart Kane. This leads to Kanes pyro and music for our next
match to "relieve kanes pain"...Next out comes none other than Edge!!!
Edge says he is not Kanes opponent but he's good news, he WILL be his
opponent at Vengance! He then asks Lita to come out and she does right into
Edges arms. Guess what....here come the SLUT and Matt Hardy chants..who
woulda knew? She says that when Vengance comes, Lita and Edge are going to
get married! Then they kiss again....then they leave and we go to
commercial....
We return to coach coming out...HEY! what happen to Kanes match???
He goes to commentary and out comes Benoit for the ECW rules match!
MAIN EVENT: Chris Benoit vs. Gene Snitsky : ECW Rules.
-Out comes Snitsky to his sweet music and actually a minor pop, Benoit
starts off quickly outside the ring with Can lids and the cans themselves.
Lots of smashing over Snitskys head and the match hasn't even started yet!
Most of the match had no other weapons other than garbage cans. Snitsky
takes the strong upper hand through the majority of the match. Benoit takes
control and decides to get more weapons...how about a table now. Benoit
sets it up in the ring and outs snitsky on it and goes for the headbut but
doesnt make it all the way up. Snitskeys winning again. Benoit i thrown to
the outside and Snitskey is inside talking trash but wait!!! ITS THE DUDLEY
BOYZ!!!! Crowd is going nuts as the take the surprised Snitsky and 3-D!!
Right through the table. Security chases them out of the building and coach
says he is leaving as we go to commercial....
RAW returns recapping what just happened as well as what we missed during
the break...benoit goes for the headbut and wins.
WINNER: Chris Benoit.
Backstage Dudleys are getting arrested and Paul Heyman shows up and accuses
Bischoff of being scared towards coach, for arresting ECW men when they were
challenged. Coach says ok fine, but it's their asses when they are out in
the ring, another commercial.....
Back again with only a few minutes left, Bischoff is leading some of his
crusaders out to the ring, Edge, Tomko and Christian. Bischoffs
congradulates him that he kept his word, but all he is got is the Dudleyz?
He's making Bischoffs job easier and he thanks him. More talk about killing
ECW once and for all. He then calls Heyman out, we are shown them backstage
as they are walking out to the ring through the crowd. They stand on the
outside of the ring and Heyman says Bischoff keeps making the same mistake,
saying it's NOT about Heyman, it's about ECW. He builds up how great ECW
was and how ECW was better than wCw. ECW never backed down to anyone. They
get in the ring and face off: 2 vs. 3. Bischoff says they will back down
from this, out comes the RAW roster...all the bad guys, and now the Dudleys
are cornered!! BUT WAIT!!!! IT'S THE REST!!!!!! SANDMAN, TOMMY DREAMER,
RHYNO, BALLS, AXL ROTTEN!!!! Raw guys are starting to look worried AND THE
FIGHT IS ON!! Sandman and dreamer using Kendo stick, Balls smack Coach
with a chair, Dreamer takes out christian, Rhyno Gores Edge...this leaves
Maven surrounded by everyone. Axl Rotten puts him in the Tree of Woe and
gets baseball slid by Dreamer. Sandman takes a Kendo right to his face and
as the guys hold up a huge ECW banner on the side of the RAW ring as the
show fades out....
WOW what a CRAZY night, don't miss next week either as we see the next draft
pick and STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN!!!
