Commentators Steve Romero & Josh Mathews
Welcome aboard everyone. After two weeks of recaps Velocity is back as we all know and love. Before Velocity starts we cut backstage to Josh Mathews earlier today introducing Frankie Kazarian who will debut this week on Velocity. Josh asks for Frankie's thoughts ahead of his debut match against Nunzio. Frankie says:-
"Well bro, my thoughts are things have to change around here. We need something new, we need the future of wrestling to take over and the future is now. Now Josh you know that wrestling's all about eras and generations of superstars. You have your superstars of the past. Guys like Hulk Hogan and Bret "The Hitman" Hart, legends in our business. You have your superstars of the present, guys like Batista and Triple H and Kurt Angle, incredible athletes, and you have your superstar of the future. Me, and I've proven that all over the world and now I'm here to prove it where it counts. The WWE. You can thank me later 'cos the Future Frankie Kazarian has arrived."
Credits roll and we delve straight into the action which begins with...........

Simon Dean vs Mike Kruel
We want Nova. Simon with some mic work to begin as Steve says it's time for our weekly fitness update. Josh is excited at Dean's first match on Velocity. Simon says for all those who don't know his name bit should it's Simon Dean. It's a good job he's here beacuse looking at the crowd the lazy days of Summer are in full effect. He's changed so many pathetic lives on Raw and Heat. He can't see why he can't do the same thing on SmackDown! and Velcoity. Tonight he's going to start with Kruel. Simon offers him the Simon System bar and says a match with him isn't exactly a walk on the treadmill. Besides he's undefeated. What!!! Kruel has a shocked look too. Simon suggests he takes the bar and gives it his best shot or he can force feed it to him. The choice is his. Kruel takes the bar and says he doesn't need it. Simon says his choice and slaps and punches Kruel. Kruel off the ropes, Dean shoves him down then removes his Simon jacket. Josh says he's on the Simon System. William Regal vs Chris Benoit
Main Event time now folks. Well we've had two new debutants win their matches tonight. Can Regal make it three from three. Regal has a tough task ahead of him. There's pops for both with Benoit shading it. I'm predicting a Techical classic/clinic. Josh recaps the history of these two making note of the Pillman Memorial show a few years back referring to it as one of the greatest matches of all time that also urged people who wanted to break into this business to make notes. Benoit and Regal briefly touch before circling one another. Lockup, Benoit chant starts up. Both jostle to one knee, back up with Benoit eventually backing Regal to the corner. Both try taking shots at the other but the referee separates. Regal applies a side headlock, Benoit muscles free and has a top wristlock applied. Regal tries to reverse to a hammerlock, Benoit with a wristlock, Regal rolls forwards and up, snapmare to Benoit. Benoit up into another snapmare. Regal tries a chinlock, no Benoit back up with a wristlock. Regal twists and turns and throws Benoit down to the mat but Benoit turns into a hammerlock on the mat. Regal on his feet reverses the hammerlock now into a front facelock, Benoit winds up Regal's arm and Regal drops to the mat gets up and goes to the corner favouring his arm/shoulder as Benoit looks over. Nice chain wrestling as we cut to............
Don't Try This At Home.
We're back to see Regal and Benoit enaged in a test of strength. Regal forces Benoit down who is in a bridged position. Benoit sustains a knee to the chest and powers up and reverses. Regal drops to his back and traps Benoit in a headscissors while swatting at Benoit's face. Regal nips up and butts Benoit. Benoit butts back busting Regal open. They link arms again and Benoit monkey flips Regal over and to the canvas. Both roll back simultaneously and Benoit is on top of Regal where he unloads with punches to open up the wound. Benoit stalks Regal as we see a replay of Regal getting busted open. Benoit with a knee to the head. Benoit holds in a front facelock and delivers another knee. Regal grabs an arm and twists free attempting to cinch in a full nelson. Benoit slips behind and tries the same move, Regal lifts his own knee and blocks before trying himself again. Benoit again reverses into a full nelson into a suplex and both men are down. Benoit up at four and a half of the referee's count, Regal has vision problems due to the crimson mask he's wearing. Benoit drives Regal to the corner and delivers a chop to Regal's head to drop him down. Benoit drops knees onto Regal's head as Regal tries in vain to block Benoit with his foot. Benoit picks up Regal, Benoit breaks then drives a knee to Regal's head. Benoit goes for a german suplex, Regal elbows Benoit's head and again, Benoit grabs the trunks and manages to execute one german suplex. Both superstars are down yet again. Regal is up first at six and he hits Benoit with a knee trembler and falls on top of Benoit holding him down. Regal makes five cover attempts in a row and all get two. Regal traps Benoit in an armbar on the canvas and goes for the Regal Stretch (modified STF) but Benoit stops Regal hooking his arm and Benoit grabs the bottom rope. Regal with a high boot to the back of Benoit's head forces Benoit back down with a crossface chicken wing. Regal again goes for the Regal Stretch but after failing to hook the legs he applies a modified surfboard maneuver and applies a rear naked choke to Benoit who's entire upper body is bent backwards. Benoit elbows free and falls to the canvas as Regal is dazed and we break away again and go to...........
Batista vs JBL Great American Bash promo followed by Commercials.
We're back again and Regal is delivering kneelifts to Benoit, Benoit tries to grab a foot but Regal maneuvers round and rolls up Benoit for two. Regal greets Benoit who's back up with a kick, front facelock now by Regal who maneuvers round, drops to his knees and gets Benoit who goes over in a backslide 1-2-no. Benoit with a double leg takedown applies the Sharpshooter. Regal is stuck mid-ring, Regal tries to get to the ropes but Benoit brings Regal back to the centre. Regal resists though and makes another go at escaping and this time he does make the ropes and both men collapse in a heap. Both men are up at the count of three and Regal hits a high knee then more kneelifts to Benoit. Regal with a snapmare and a boot to the chest of a sitting up Benoit to drop him on his back. Regal covers for two and applies a rear naked choke. Regal rips at Benoit's face and drops an elbow across his face. Regal hooks Benoit's arms again and manages to get to his feet, knees to the face by Regal who has Benoit in a double underhook position again. Regal hits a butterfly suplex and reaches into a cover 1-2-no Benoit stays alive. Regal tries four more cover attempts simultaneously but they all get two and Regal is disappointed. Regal picks up Benoit and excutes a standing dropkick. Regal covers again for two. Regal picks up Benoit again and has him set up for a tombstone piledriver, Benoit reverses and drops Regal with a shoulderbreaker. Benoit crawls back up and as Regal turns onto his stomach Benoit pounces and goes for the Crippler Crossface. Regal tries to resist but Benoit punches away Regal's arm and now he has it applied. Regal obviously spent immediately taps out. Wow what a match. Truly a technical classic with each man going counter for counter. I haven't seen the Pillman memorial match yet but I'll be damn sure looking for a copy now to compare to this one. Definitely a Match of the Year candidate and one of the best on free TV this year. This ranks up there with Michaels vs Bejamin, the London vs Akio series and London vs Akio vs Chavo definitely. SmackDown! take note. More wrestling like this please. Here is Your Winner Via Submission: CHRIS BENOIT. Benoit gets a pop post match as he gets his arm raised then recuperates in the corner. Orlando Jordan is in big trouble at the Great American Bash.
Steve quickly signs off to end the show. Keep it here for Heat. Shaun.
