Cape Cod Melody Tent

The WWE returned to the Cape Cod Melody Tent last night for it's annual July live event. The Tent was packed as usual, no empty seats. The new ring announcer, not sure of his name, and a ref come down the isle to the RAW theme to loud cheers from the crowd.
1.) Hurricane and Rosey w/ Stacey vs. The Heart Throbs (WWE Tag Team Titles)
Hurricane, Rosey, and Stacey come out first to a good reaction. Next out are the Heart Throbs. Basically exactly the same match seen on Raw several times, however I applaud the effort from both teams.
WINNNERS: Hurricane and Rosey
2.) Viscera vs. Snitsky
Viscera comes out first, making his first appearance at the Melody Tent in 10 years. (FYI: In 1995 he wrestled Razor Ramon in the main event) This was a good match for two huge guys, both showing off their strength. Vis was really cool with the fans and seemed to be happy to be back in the Melody Tent.

3.) Kerwin White vs. ????
Kerwin's opponent, I believe it was Chris something, would probably right now be considered a "Ham an' egger", but I wouldn't be surprised to see this guy turn into a big star. Kerwin cuts a promo before the match, saying how he's not Chavo, and that he's not mexican, he's white or something to that effect. Kerwin used the ropes to get a 3-count.
WINNER: Kerwin White
Coach comes out to loud boos, and he announces HBK vs. Flair, and Cena vs. Edge for later on. (Loud pops for that)
4.) Victoria vs. Christi Hemme
Pretty good match with the crowd behind Christi the entire time. Victoria attempted the widow's peak, but Christi reversed it into a rollup.
WINNER: Christi Hemme
5.) Big Show vs. Chris Masters
Masters cuts a promo saying how no one in the Melody Tent could break the Master lock. He makes fun of our town and talks trash until Big Show comes out to an AMAZING pop!! Show grabs a chair and sits in it, daring Masters to try the masterlock. Show then gets up and knocks down Masters. I forget the ending, but I believe Masters got himself DQed. After the match he pounds on Show a little, until Show delivers a HUGE chokeslam!
WINNER: Big Show
6.) Carlito vs. Shelton Benjamin (IC Title)
Carlito out first to a mixed reaction, then Shelton to a good pop. Great match as usual between these two. Carlito escapes with his title. Great ovation for Benjamin as he exits.
WINNER: Carlito
7.) HBK vs. Flair
Huge pops for both of these legends. Flair cuts a promo and tells the women to scream for him, which they do. Awesome match with Flair in control most of the begining, and HBK coming back towards the end, and delivers sweet chin music to Flair. This match really made the show worth the admission. Funny part of the match where HBK pulled Flair's trunks down, and little was left to the imagination. Great match!

After the match HBK says "they won't let me go through Hyannis without talking about Hulk Hogan". He rambles about how he could match his ability to Hogan's any day. He says he doesn't really know where he's going with what he's saying, but he was just "trying it out". He then asks "is it enough to make you hate me?". Look for this same promo on Raw Monday.
8.) Kurt Angle vs. Eugene
Angle comes out to a big pop. He takes the mic and says Bischoff won't let him wrestle Eugene for the medals unless it was on Raw or a PPV. He rags on Eugene a little, then Eugene comes out to a big pop. This was a funny match as Eugene clowns around with Angle throughout the match. Eugene hits the stunner at one point. Angle hits the angle slam for a two count. Eugene then hits Angle with the Angle Slam for the win!!

9.) John Cena vs. Edge (WWE Title)
Edge is out first, and halfway down the ramp the lights go out and they play Kane's music. Edge grabs the mic and says that Kane is playing mind games with him, and that Lita is not here because of the tombstone on Raw. There was a technician kneeling in the corner of the ring, and Edge says it's "the person he's not supposed to talk about", Matt Hardy. He attacks the guy and it turns out not to be Matt, but just one of the ring crew. Cena comes out to one of the loudest pops of the night. Good match w/ action in and out of the ring. Edge goes for the spear, but Cena catches him, and turns it into an F-U for the win!!
WINNER: John Cena
Overall it was a great show. The ring announcer thanked everyone for coming, and said that they would be back next year.
