WWE Velocity Report-13th August 2005

Welcome aboard everyone. SummerSlam is one week away but here and now it's time for Velocity so let's get going. Velocity starts off with a highlights package of last week recapping Nunzio defeating Paul London for the Cruiserweight Title following help from Vito. The credits roll and Candice Michelle is guest ring announcer for our opener.
Paul London vs "The Future" Frankie Kazarian
Paul London's sporting new Pacman gear. Lockup and Kazarian backs London to the corner, London ducks a punch and takes down Kazarian with an armdrag into an armbar. Both exchange a couple of arm reversals until Kazarian drop toeholds London. Kazarian goes for a headlock on the mat but London counters into a hammerlock then armbar. Kazarian back on his feet, London cuts off a whip to the ropes and armdrags Kazarian back down and into the armbar again. Kazarian sends London to the ropes by the hair, London answers back with a shoulder tackle then stomps on Kazarian's hand. London winds up the arm, Kazarian works a wristlock, London flips over using the ropes and Kazarian clubs him down. Kazarian forearms then Irish whips London. London floats onto the apron ducks Kazarian kicks the gut and vaults back in with a Mushroom stomp. London charges but Kazarian with an overthrowing belly-to-belly sends London bouncing off the corner to the mat. Kazarian with a suplex and nearfall. Kazarian applies a neck vice, London punches and kicks free, Kazarian ducks a swinging leg and gets London on his shoulders before dropping back with an electric chair with a bridge for a two count. Kazarian clubs the back then twists London round with a standing reverse chinlock but London elevates himself round stepping off the turnbuckles and nails Kazarian with a dropsault. Kazarian charges into a kick, London runs the ropes and hits a heel kick. London forearms Kazarian down, Kazarian goes to reverse whip London but London kicks then swings round into another kick that drops Kazarian. London gets a nearfall then lifts Kazarian for a back suplex but drops him down with a flapjack instead. London off the ropes kicks Kazarian in the gut before following up with a standing Shooting Star Press/London Calling. 1-2-no. Kazarian in the corner reverses an Irish whip, London floats over and is on top of Kazarian's shoulders again. London punches the head and tries a victory roll but Kazarian blocks, falls on top and covers London 1-2-3. London's losing streak continues. Here is Your Winner: "THE FUTURE" FRANKIE KAZARIAN. Post match Kazarian departs as London is left frustrated in the ring before grabbing a mic. "Aaahhh I just got screwed again. We just got screwed again. I keep getting screwed. Well I'm not going to get screwed anymore because this isn't fair." London kicks the ropes before taking his leave and the commentators discuss his losing streak.

Nunzio w/Vito vs Jimmy Jacobs
Nunzio spars with Vito and the turnbuckle in preparation. Nunzio backs Jacobs to the corner and slaps his face. Jacobs charges back in and shoves Nunzio. Nunzio catches Jacobs' leg, pushes him down and repeatedly slaps his head. Nunzio goes for a facelock, Jacobs into a hammerlock, Nunzio elbows the head and clubs Jacobs in the back. Nunzio with a snapmare drops a knee before throwing Jacobs' head into the canvas a couple of times. Jacobs reverses off the ropes but Nunzio telegraphs a dropkick and motions to the crowd that he was using his head. Nunzio punches and kicks the back of Jacobs before distracting the referee allowing Vito to hit a punch from outside. Nunzio with a nearfall stomps Jacobs in the back, plays to the crowd, beats on his head then squashes it in the ropes with his boot. Nunzio throws Jacobs outside to Vito who again behind the referee's back knocks him down. Nunzio puts Jacobs back in, nearfall, Nunzio pulls at Jacobs' face then traps him in a chinlock. Jacobs punches free and boots Nunzio in the face coming off the ropes. Jacobs staggers Nunzio with punches, comes off the ropes with a cross body for two then fires up with more punches. Nunzio reverses an Irish whip, Jacobs blindly leaps off the second rope and Nunzio catches him with a dropkick to the gut. Nunzio covers but decides to pull Jacobs up at two. Nunzio delays before going to the middle rope and hitting the Sicilian Slice. 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: NUNZIO. Post match Vito puts the belt around Nunzio.

Funaki vs Ken Anderson
Anderson with some generic music. Romero says he looks like Billy Idol. Anderson grabs a mic and decides to repeat Tony Chimel's ring announcements but puts his own spin on things and bigs himself up. He calls himself Mr Anderson then repeats Anderson as he poses on the turnbuckles. Anderson backs Funaki to the corner, Funaki dodges a punch attempt and hiptosses Anderson followed by an armdrag into an armbar. Anderson pushes Funaki back into the corner then tries an armdrag of his own but Funaki rolls through and keeps the armbar applied. Anderson backs Funaki into the ropes by the hair, Funaki reverses off the ropes but puts his head down early enabling Anderson to grab him and throw him shoulder first into the ringpost. Anderson snapmares Funaki, one count. Anderson with an armwringer reels in Funaki and drives his shoulder into Funaki's twice as "You suck" rings out around the arena. Anderson talks trash as he slaps Funaki's head. Anderson goes to reel Funaki in again but Funaki ducks and counters into a schoolboy for two. Anderson clotheslines and traps Funaki in a keylock submission. Funaki punches free, Anderson reverses into the ropes catches Funaki's leg but Funaki turns it into an enziguiri. Funaki off the ropes nails a bulldog and fires up. Funaki with punches whips Anderson off the ropes and into a dropkick. Funaki hits another dropkick then slams down Anderson. Funaki to the top rope hits a cross body but Anderson rolls on top 1-2-Funaki rolls his shoulder up. Both men up, Anderson knees the gut and Irish whips Funaki who gets his feet up to boot a charging Anderson. Funaki tries to go up top again but Anderson punches rises to the second rope himself gets Funaki on his back and comes off with an impressive fireman's carry into a senton 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: KEN ANDERSON. Nice debut. Post match Anderson gets a mic and again corrects Chimel saying the winner is Mr Anderson.

Big Stevie Cool (Steven Richards) vs Hardcore Holly
Torrie Wilson comes out first and it looks as though she's the guest ring announcer for our main event. Stevie comes out first in bWo garb but to his old music and titantron. He's also announced as Big Stevie Cool and Velocity is his new show by the way. Holly gets a big pop and Steve constantly calls him the Alabama slammer.
Stevie gets Holly to the corner, the referee goes to separate and Stevie hits a chop before backing up and ducking his head outside as Holly advances. Holly with a side headlock and shoulder tackle off the ropes. Holly steps over Stevie then blocks a hiptoss attempt and drives him into the corner. Holly with a kick rips off the bWo shirt and unloads with stinging chops. Stevie wants mercy, Holly boots then dishes out a Dick kick in the ropes. Holly looks on as Stevie recovers and hits a dropkick to Holly's left knee. Stevie takes over and works on Holly's left knee with kicks. Stevie drops his weight down and yells at the referee to ask Holly to quit. Holly tries to grab Stevie's hair to break. Stevie drops a knee and signals for a figure four but Holly with his other foot sends Stevie crashing face first into the corner. Holly gets to his feet but Stevie kicks his leg from under him pulls down Holly's kneepad and stomps the knee. Stevie poses before dropping an elbow onto the knee. Stevie puts Holly in the corner and slaps his chest before booting him down and stomping on the knee. Holly gets up, Stevie poses before charging. Holly moves and Stevie crotches himself in the ropes. Holly limps round a little before knocking Stevie down with two backelbows a clothesline and a backbodysrop after bouncing Stevie off the ropes. Holly reels in Stevie into a half nelson slam. 1-2-kickout. Holly goes to get Stevie up but he punches the knee in desperation. Stevie runs the ropes and leaps but Holly catches him on his shoulders. Stevie grabs the ropes, Holly pulls him off and staggers round will he lose his balance no Holly dumps Stevie down with the Alabama Slam and that's it. 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: HARDCORE HOLLY.
