Current AEW Champion Details The Origins Of Her “Babes Of Wrath” Pairing With Willow Nightingale

In an interview with Good Karma Wrestling, Harley Cameron, AEW Women's World Tag Team Champion and member of Babes of Wrath, discussed several topics, including how she feels about finally winning a title in the company.

This is what Harley Cameron said, “It feels great. And it is only making me want to, you know, work harder because there’s no greater honor than, you know, having this. And like it’s just one of those things that I’m like, just because I got it, now that I don’t want to go backwards. I don’t want to stay stagnant. I just want to keep going. And I also really want to be a good representative and show why I have it. And I think that I can say that I’m very proud of myself, but the hard work still goes and it is even more.”

On the origins of her “Babes of Wrath” pairing with Willow Nightingale:

“So Willow and I have these amazing full circle moments because she was my first ever match at AEW on AEW Dark, which was the second match of my life, ironically, and we had moments where we faced each other, and also we were just saying we were just in Cardiff as a team. And this time last year, we were in Cardiff as opponents. So we’ve had this crazy journey together where I can say, ‘Ah, you were there for that time and that time and that time. Tony Khan decided that we would be a great fit for one another, and he was absolutely right. We have a lot of similar attributes. We have very similar work ethics. We’re very bubbly, outgoing people, and we are very good friends. So I think he recognized the similarities in us and decided ultimately this would be a great fit. And well he was right, baby.”
