WWE Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan passed away last week after suffering cardiac arrest. Now the official cause of death has been released as well as some more details on Hogan's health condition.
Page Six reports that the wrestling legend died due to "acute myocardial infarction", which is more commonly known as as heart attack, a condition where blood flow to the heart is blocked causing tissue damage. Hogan's death was ultimately ruled natural.
The report also states that Hogan had a history of "atrial fibrillation" (AFib), which is a condition in which the heartbeat is often rapid and irregular. The Medical Examiner's report also revealed that Hogan had a "history of leukemia", which is a type of cancer affecting white blood cells. Hogan's diagnosis of having leukemia appears to be new information as it was not known to anyone that he ever battled cancer.
A spokesperson for the medical examiner's office shared that Hogan will be cremated as a request for cremation approval was received by his office, however, he does not know or where that will be.
