Two of WWE's top female stars suffered significant injuries over the last few weeks with Zoey Stark first blowing out her knee in a triple threat Money in the Bank qualifying match and more recently, Liv Morgan dislocated her shoulder in a fatal four-way Queen of the Ring qualifier. One wrestler who was involved in both matches is Kairi Sane and she took to social media to address her involvement in both incidents.
"One of the most painful things for me is when a match is decided not by wrestling, but because of an injury. I always step into the ring with deep respect for my opponent, and I train hard every day to give the audience something they can truly enjoy. Even if it was never intentional, knowing that someone was hurt in a match with me is something I carry deeply. It breaks my heart. I hope with all my heart for a full and speedy recovery. I will continue to give my all, hoping to bring excitement—not pain—to the ring."
While Sane was involved in both matches, she was not blamed for either injury and reports indicated that there was no backstage heat on her (or anyone else for that matter).
Stark suffered a gruesome knee injury in which she tore her ACL, MCL and is probably going to be out for at least a year while Morgan's separated shoulder is going to require surgery and is likely to keep her on the sidelines for the rest of 2025. An official timetable for either injury has yet to be released by WWE.
