With WrestleMania 42 now just mere days ago, the status of WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella remains up in the air, putting into question whether she - and subsequently Brie Bella - will be able to compete in their scheduled match at the event.
Nikki came up limp last month following a Smackdown show where she sprained her ankle. In the following days, she was spotted in a walking boot but at the time, mentioned that she was hoping to be back in action in one week. However, that date has passed long ago and there's been no update on her recovery.
According to Dave Meltzer of f4wonline.com, Nikki's status for WrestleMania is "too close to call" where she is scheduled to team up with Brie to take on WWE Women's Tag Team champs Nia Jax & Lash Legend, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss and Bayley, and Lyra Valkyria in a fatal four-way for the belt.
It was also rumored that WWE is holding off on announcing a singles match between IYO SKY and Asuka for Night Two in the event that Nikki isn't cleared as they would simply insert the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) into the slot that would have been occupied by the Bellas. That wouldn't be ideal though as it would leave SKY without a match.
The WrestleVotes on Fightful Select account also noted in their Q&A this week that if Nikki isn't cleared in time, they would throw in either the Kabuki Warriors or Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez into the match but internally there is hope that the Bellas are able to work the match.
