Chris Jericho made his return to AEW TV last night on Dynamite after months of speculation on where he would end up with many believing a return to WWE in time for WrestleMania was the most likely scenario.
PWInsider reports that the general feeling backstage at Dynamite was that Jericho and AEW have come to an agreement on a new contract extension that will keep him with the company for the foreseeable future. The report added that Jericho was not present backstage before the show went on air and was essentially ushered in just two minutes before the show started.
Following Dynamite, Jericho filmed additional material for AEW and also participated in a photo shoot between doing rounds backstage introducing himself to wrestlers that he hadn't met yet since taking a leave of absence from AEW.
Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that within circles is a belief that Jericho will not be appearing there anytime soon or perhaps ever.
