Former AEW Women's Champion Mariah May has been the subject of rumors over the last couple of months after reportedly informing AEW that she was not interested in re-signing with the company once her contract ends later this year. It was later reported that May was eyeing a jump to WWE when she was free and clear of her AEW deal.
Now, the WrestleVotes Backstage Pass is reporting that the interest may be mutual, describing that sources within WWE feel that the company will make the former AEW champ an "outstanding" offer to come over.
It is believed that May's deal with AEW runs out this summer and after a loss to Toni Storm at AEW Revolution, she has not been seen on TV since, which is a practice that President Tony Khan usually follows when a talent is headed out. However, some sources still believe that AEW is trying to persuade May to re-sign, though it is believed she has already made up her mind that she wants to join WWE.
