Gregory Helms vs Tajiri
So here we go it's Tajiri's swansong in WWE as he's going back to spend more time with his family in Japan. I think he was underutilized in WWE. Tajiri gets a nice welcome. Coach and Dreamer put Tajiri over throughout the match. Dreamer's a good commentator by the way. Lockup, side headlock takedown by Helms and Tajiri immediately counters with a headscissors. Tajiri and Helms exchange some arm reversals, Tajiri snapmares Helms and kicks him in the back. Helms into a go-behind, Tajiri elbows free, Helms takes Tajiri down by the hair and stomps the back. Back inside Helms drops an elbow onto Tajiri's back for a nearfall. Helms punches Tajiri into the corner and Irish whips. Helms charges and catches a Tajiri boot. Helms puts it down, Tajiri with some chops, Helms shoves to the corner and charges into a second Tarantula attempt but Helms blocks it again and brings Tajiri back into the ring but Tajiri catches Helms with a crescent kick. Helms ducks Tajiri's shining wizard attempt and delivers an inverted atomic drop followed by a shining wizard of his own which does find the mark. Helms covers 1-2-3. Take care and so long Tajiri. All the best for the future. Here is Your Winner: GREGORY HELMS. Tajiri's farewell speech is edited off the TV broadcast. Go to WWE.Com to check that one out.
Snitsky & Tyson Tomko vs The Heart Throbs
Snitsky and Tomko try and beat each other up on their way to the ring. The Throbs get zero reaction as no-one knows that they've turned face. Give them some eye candy as a manager. Ashley Massaro perhaps then maybe people will start to care. I like them though and think they're a good team. Snitsky and Tomko are dead in the water as a team though but thinking about it so are most teams on Raw following Kane and Big Show's recent dominance. Snitsky and Tomko aren't impressed with the Throbs schtick and Snitsky kicks their gear out of the ring. Antonio begins by kicking Snitsky and grabbing a leg but Snitsky clubs him. Snitsky goes for a powerslam but Romeo pulls his partner down and aids Antonio's roll up attempt by dropkicking Snitsky but Antonio only gets a one count. Antonio ducks outside and wiggles at Snitsky. Antonio gets on the apron and Tomko comes in and grabs him but Antonio sends him away with a knee to the gut and attempts a sunset flip and again Romeo aids his partner in getting the giant over by springing in with a cross body. Antonio only gets a one count again and he tags Romeo in who charges into a Tomko clothesline. Snitsky tags in and Tomko holds Romeo for a Snitsky boot before Snitsky takes control with a punch, slam and elbow drop. Tomko tags and boots and punches Romeo before choking him in the middle rope and clubbing his head. Snitsky tags and shoves Romeo to the corner and kicks him down. Antonio tries to get the crowd going but gets nothing as Romeo gets Irish whipped and backbodydropped. Antonio breaks up a cover at two, Romeo shocks Snitsky with a jawbreaker, Snitsky tags out and Tomko hits Romeo from behind and slaps his head. Tomko takes a swipe at Antonio on the apron who ducks and steps onto the floor. Tomko turns back to Romeo who drives his head into Tomko's gut and at the same time Antonio has scaled to the top rope and he comes off and hits Tomko with a double axehandle to the back. The Throbs whip Tomko off the ropes but Tomko thwarts a double team move by shoving them away. The Throbs duck a double clothesline run the ropes and take Tomko down with a double flying shoulder tackle. Snitsky gets double dropkicked into the corner and Romeo leapfrogs Antonio and begins a mounted punch assault on Snitsky. Snitsky throws Romeo off at two and Tomko levels him with a big boot. Snitsky boots Antonio outside as Tomko covers Romeo for the 1-2-3. Here Are Your Winners: SNITSKY & TYSON TOMKO. Post match the heels pummel each other some more.
Trevor Murdoch vs Val Venis
Yes Lance Cade is now an afterthought according to Trevor Murdoch. Why is Murdoch the one getting a big push? Val comes out and gives his towel to a really jakked up female and by her reaction Val's made her year. Dreamer really wants the towel and says the girl is more excited to see Val than he is. Dreamer and Coach throw some jokes around about the old days of Heat with him Val Venis and GM Steven Richards. Ah those were the days. Dreamer says Richards will be downloading this at home right now. Where is Steven Richards by the way? Val traps Murdoch in a hammerlock and Murdoch gets the referee to break it up. Murdoch with some chain wrestling on Val which culminates in a shove. Val winds up Murdoch's arm, Murdoch punches Val and applies a side headlock. Val sends off the ropes but gets shoulder tackled to the mat. Murdoch runs the ropes but telegraphs a Val punch and ducks outside. Val goes out punches Murdoch down and puts him back inside where Val chops and hits two running kneelifts followed by a side russian legsweep and a cover for two. Murdoch reverses an Irish whip but charges into an elbow, Val blindly goes to the top rope but Murdoch crotches and drops Val with a neckbreaker for a nearfall. Murdoch stomps Val's back then props him up in the corner and unloads with four short arm clotheslines that leave Val in a slump. Murdoch chokes Val with his boot then delivers a snapmare and applies a chinlock then an armbar while rubbing his other arm in Val's face. Murdoch gets some shots in with the hold applied but Val fights back and fights free until Murdoch clubs Val in the head. Murdoch sends Val off the ropes but puts his head down allowing Val to boot and both fall down. Murdoch gets up and boots Val in the face. Val gets up with assistance from the ropes, Murdoch advances and Val has him reeling with a series of punches. Murdoch off the ropes into a clothesline then a backelbow by Val. Val punches Murdoch into the corner where Val chops and Irish whips and follows in with a corner clothesline. Val hits a fisherman suplex for two. Val with some mounted mat punches goes up top and misses a Money Shot attempt. Murdoch takes advantage and shows Val how it's done by going up top and nailing Val with a bulldog for the 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: TREVOR MURDOCH. OK fair enough Murdoch showed some potential here. Not a bad match.
That's all for now folks. I'll be back tomorrow with a pre-Armageddon Heat recap. Wherever you are tonight enjoy Armageddon. Later, Shaun.
