Hello everybody. Here's coverage of the match that went down before New Year's Revolution last night.
Chavo Guerrero vs Snitsky
Eddie chants greet Chavo during his entrance. Chavo begins with a go-behind but Snitsky swivels round and sends Chavo to the corner. Chavo unloads on Snitsky with punches but is again sent away. Chavo ducks a charge and after some shots Chavo runs the ropes however Snitsky catches in a press slam but Chavo counters into a sunset flip for no count. Chavo hits Snitsky and runs the ropes again but Snitsky shoves him outside where he goes out and drives Chavo into the apron. Back inside Snitsky boots the back before hitting a slam and dropping a couple of elbows onto the back for a nearfall. The crowd chant Eddie again and Snitsky tells them to shut up. Snitsky punches Chavo down, Chavo tries to punch back to no avail and Snitsky delivers a delayed vertical suplex for another nearfall. Snitsky Irish whips Chavo who sidesteps a charge and Chavo aims kicks to the back of Snitsky's leg before hitting a dropkick to the knee. Chavo ducks a clothesline and lands another dropkick and the chants have turned into Chavo. Chavo goes for some mounted offense in the corner but Snitsky places him on the second rope. Chavo boots Snitsky away and connects with a missile dropkick for a nearfall. Chavo picks up Snitsky who reverses Chavo off the ropes, Snitsky puts his head down allowing Chavo to boot but Chavo charges and gets levelled with a clothesline. Snitsky picks Chavo up and goes for a pumphandle slam but Chavo counters into a DDT before heading up top and landing a frog splash for the 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: CHAVO GUERRERO. Post match we check a replay of how the finish went down.
I thought New Year's Revolution was good and provided a nice shock factor what with the main event and the ending. Edge deserves a run with the title as he's worked hard and been plugging away for a while and has won me over. I thought they'd pull the trigger on the Trish/Mickie feud but that was a fun match to watch. I thought Shelton/Viscera and Lawler/Helms went long and Helms should have won. Also the Mae Young segment was gross, I never want to see her again but aside from that they were my only gripes with the show so roll on Raw tonight. See you Wednesday for the Heat and Velocity awards results. Shaun.
