While this is still up in the air, as of this report, John Cena will face Rob Van Dam for the WWE Championship at ECW One Night Stand. John Bradshaw Layfield is not expected to be part of the main event. Just as John Cena is quieting the rebellion against him, he will definitely be seen as a heel against RVD in ECW.
Since ECW is expected to live on after this year’s pay-per-view, expect WWE to capitalize off of Cena’s feedback at One Night Stand.
Reportedly, Paul Heyman is getting an office at WWE headquarters in Stamford, Conn. to accommodate his ECW duties.
