- Kota Ibushi recently stated that WWE offered him a five-year contract which he rejected, followed by a three-year offer and a two-year offer, both of which he turned down. He stated that while the money was significant, he is not on board with the exclusivity requirement and as such, only wants a event-by-event agreement.
- WWE will be headlining their Melbourne and Osaka NXT shows with Samoa Joe vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, including a cage match in Melbourne. If Nakamura is to win the title back, it is likely going to happen in Osaka.
