Albany, NY was the home for the Smackdwn/ECW show.
The Show Started off with a Dark atch Between Matt
Hardy and Some jobber. The WWE doesnt seem to have
much intrest in pushing matt hardy anymore i guess.
Matt Hardy wins with a roll up.
Smackdown Starts, They shw Highlights from last weeks
match Between Booker T and Lashly. Then the Host of
Smackdown The MiZ runs down tonights Card.
Rematch: Booker T VS Bobby Lashly
World Title Match: Rey defends against Mark Henry.
The first match Tag Title Match:
The Mexicools VS Paul London & Brian Kendrick (c)
This match started off slow but picked up quick,
Supercrazy was actually a Crowd favorite, maybe
because there were a lot of ECW fans there.
SuperCrazy controlls the whole match, he goes to the
top for the finish until Psicosis blind tags super,
jumps off the top rope and misses, causing them the
tag titles.
WINNER: Paul London & Brian Kendrick
Post match, Super and Psicosis brawl in the ring, the
crowd was behind crazy.
Tatanka VS Simon Dean
Dean hit a pretty funny Promo about how he went to a
Casino and got ripped off by Tatanka's Family.
The fight for not even 2 minutes until The Great
Kahli's Music hits, This guy is one of the Biggest
guys I have ever seen in person. I thought the Big
Show was huge. No mater what, Kahli has no talent.
One big push, 2 Power slams he probably learned that
day how to do, then his giant Chop the one move he
know by heart.
After the beating, Kahli pinned Simon Dean as if the
Undertaker would, Tounge and all.
Fit Finly VS Gunner Scott
Boring match Until the Midget from Under the ring came
out, he got one of the Biggest Pops of the Night.
WINNER: Finly
But the real winner that saved that match was Finleys
Midget. Very Funny Gimick.
Booker T VS Bobby Lashly
Booker T had one of the longest Entrances i think in
history, i hope they edit some of it or go to
Commercial. William Regal must have said "All Hail
King Booker" atleast 200 times.
Very good match took 20 minutes until finly anf real
got invovled, then lashly went crazy with a Chair and
got the DQ
Post match, Booker T was walking to the Back while
Regal saying in pain "All Hail King Booker"
They showed a Video Package to hype up Mysterio and
henry, durring it. the Midget ran out from under the
ring and Sprinted to the back, alot of people noticed
that. They keep him under the ring throughout the
show!
Funaki Comes out, the MR Kennedy comes out to a mix
reaction, cuts a promo, beat Funaki with a Senton
Splash.
SD! Main Event, Henry VS Mysterio.
If they Give Henry the Belt, I WILL RIOT!!!
Fast pace match, Rey Hitting alot of High Risk moves.
Henry rips the corner pad off, the ref goes to fix it,
then the classic, throw your opponent into the ref so
he can sell the injury for a very long time.
Chavo runs to the ring with a Steel Chair, Saves rey
from getting Power Bombed, bashes Henry with the chair
once more, then takes the Chair and Bashes the Corner
of the ring hard and places the Chair on a Passed out
Henry telling rey to Lay down and play dead, Classic
Eddie! Ref Wakes up to the loud sound of the chair,
sees henry with the Chair the calls for the bell
WINNER and Still World Champ, REY MYSTERIO.
SD ends, Ring Crew has 15 minutes to change the set
for the ECW show. Alot of people were leaving due to
the fact that the ECW SHow wasnt promoted good enough
with the tonights show. A lot of ECW Chants Begin,
once the opening for the ECW Show Started playing the
ring crew were just getting done.
One thing that Really cought my Eye was this one Guy
who was a Hardcore ECW Fan, He Boo'ed every wrestler
who was orginally not with ECW like Big SHow, Angle,
Edge and Orton. He was so Anti WWE, that durningthe
Segment where the chick ( which i dont know the name
for) Got on the Stage to do her little Striptease, He
Turned his back to it and Started Chanting by himself
"F*** You McMahon"
He also had a Sign that said "McMahon Is Distroying
ECW" Which is true! ECW is Not the same, too much WWE
stuff going one, more WWE wrestlers are getting over
on an ECW show. NOT COOL! Give PAUL HEYMAN FULL
CONTROL! Let him run the show!
After the ECW Taping, There was a dark match.
Mark Henry and Kahli VS Taker.
Quick and boring match to be honest. The only reason
why I stayied was for Taker, hes the man. Kahli and
Henry make a good tag team. They are good together
because they HAVE NO TALENT! and they only have 3
moves to their Name, Actually, Henry has 2 More than
Kahli.
All together it was a good show, the ECW was the
upsetting part! Its just not how it should be. I hate
to say this because i am a Huge ECW fan But, I could
go one about how much The ECW BRand will end up like
the XFL, but i'd rather just wait until it happens!
Pre-Show:
*A good portion of the upper deck is tarped off.
Dark Match:
*Matt Hardy pinned Sylvester Turkay.
Smackdown:
*WWE Tag Team champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick defeated The Mexicools. Crazy had the match won and Psicosis tagged himself in and went for a somersault legdrop that missed and Kendrick scored the pin. The Mexicools got into a fistfight with each other after the match.
Batista promo for his return in "14 days."
*Later tonight will be Booker T vs. Bobby Lashley and WWE World champion Rey Mysterio vs. Mark Henry.
*Simon Dean vs. Tatanka was stopped when The Great Khali attacked both competitors. Khali mimiced the Undertaker's pinfall of opponents, crossing Dean's arm and sticking out his tongue like Undertaker does.
*Finlay defeated Gunnar Scott after hitting him with the shillelagh. The Little B****ard tried to interfere but was tossed back under the ring by Finlay.
*Sylvan, Ambassor of Quebec promo.
*Chavo Guerrero did an pre-interview with Michael Cole "at home" talking about being attacked last week by Mark Henry and that the odds are against Rey Mysterio tonight.
*Kristal Marshall interviewed Mark Henry.
*King Booker defeated Lashley in a long match via DQ. Booker brought a chair into the ring but Lashley got it and the referee saw Lashley with it. Finlay and William Regal interfered during the match. Regal, who came out to new music, did his "All Hail King Booker" bit seemingly forever before the match began.
*Ken Kennedy pinned Funaki with a senton off the top.
*Backstage, Teddy Long informed Booker T he would face Lashley "next week" in a Steel Cage Match.
*Another Batista returns promo.
*WWE World champ Rey Mysterio defeated Mark Henry via DQ. Chavo Guerrero came out and used a chair to "cheat" by tricking the referee into thinking Henry had used it on Mysterio.
