WWE Heat Report (10/08/06) Special John Cena Edition

WWE Heat Report-8th October 2006
By Shaun Best-Rajah.Com Reporter
Special Edition (sigh not again) from WWE Studios
This Week's Focus: John Cena

Greetings. Yet another special edition show this week with this week's theme being John Cena. I'll be honest and say I skipped the show so here's the shorter offering of what's on the show from WWE.Com.

John Cena vs Chris Jericho from Vengeance 2002

John Cena's second music video "Right Now"

John Cena vs JBL from WrestleMania 21

John Cena vs Edge from Raw this past Monday

Lots of plugs for the Marine

To make sure this week's column isn't a waste of time I'll now offer my thoughts on No Mercy later tonight.

King Booker vs Finlay vs Batista vs Bobby Lashley
I see Booker retaining in this one as Lashley isn't yet ready for a title run. Maybe the seeds will be planted here for a future Lashley/Batista feud.

Mr Kennedy vs Undertaker
Not a lot of build for this but Kennedy is receiving a big push of sorts so I'm predicting after a lot of restholds the Undertaker loses clean.

Rey Mysterio vs Chavo Guerrero
I hate the Eddie references as much as the next guy but I'm expecting a stellar match here with Chavo winning and "injuring" Rey so he can go and get his much needed knee surgery done.

Gregory Helms vs Matt Hardy
I'm looking forward to this match the most. Two former OMEGA alumni collide in their own backyard. This matchup has had great build. Give this match some time and it will steal the show. If WWE are looking for an over face act to replace Rey while he's out then look no further than Hardy who is so deserving of a big push. I'm backing Hardy all the way and hoping for a great match. Please no Hardy reunion tonight. I'm prepared to wait a bit longer for that. Tonight is Matt's night to shine by himself.

Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs KC James & Idol Stevens
James and Stevens are boring and green as hell. I'm just happy to see London and Kendrick on the card. I'm tipping the champs to retain and feud with Gymini who are due to return to SmackDown!

Finally I think MVP's opponent will be either Vito or Tatanka with MVP going over.

See you next weekend with what will likely be another special edition of Heat due to Raw's family reunion show tomorrow night. Enjoy No Mercy. Later, Shaun.
