Just thought I would send this along...
I went to the Raw house show yesterday afternoon in Rockford and I thought
I would send some results.
Match 1: Cryme Time d. Cade/Murdoch
It's a shame that Cade and Murdoch are stuck on Heat. I really think
they're a great tag team with a lot of potential. They are also GREAT at
drawing heat from the crowd.
Match 2: Carlito d. Shelton Benjamin
Carlito's arm was very heavilt bandaged. I'm not sure why. He ended up
winning, and then coming back and spitting an apple in Benjamin's face.
Match 3: Val Venis d. "The Big Deal"
No idea who this "Big Deal" is, but he has a big cape that says "The Big
Deal"...anyway, it was good to see Val back, but he just doesn't seem to
have the same energy he used to...it's probably because we haven't seen
him wrestle in 3 years.
Match 4: Super Crzay d. Chris Masters
Usual match that you would expect from these two. Masters, however is
actually very good with the crowd in that small of an environment. He was
on the mic for a few minutes, and he was actually amusing.
Match 5: Mickie James d. Victoria
Well, God Bless the Divas. Mickie was dressed as a mouse, and Victoria as
a spider. Mickie ended up winning with a tornado DDT...she really has
gotten much better looking over time.
Match 6: Highlanders d. Spirit Squad (Mikey, Nicky) (non-title)
Highlight of the day for me: The arena was quiet so I decided to look at
Robby and yell "You're Robby"...to my surprise he responded by pointing to
himself, shaking his head, and saying "I'm Robby." After the match Kenny
attacked a few members of the squad as we headed to intermission.
After intermission Torrie Wilson (dressed as a slutty Referee) and Maria
(dressed as a devil...an amazingly hot devil) shot shirts to the audience.
The person who caught the last shirt got to be guest ring announcer for
the next match.
Match 7:INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE- Jeff Hardy d. Johnny Nitro w/Melina
To keep with the rest of the divas, Melina was dressed as a sexy police
officer. She was ejected half way through the match for interfering, and I
believe because of that, we all went home losers. Jeff hardy won with a
swanton.
Match 8: Triple H d. Randy Orton
Triple H announced that he had good and bad news. The bad news was HBK was
not there, the good news was he just saved a bunch of money on his car
insurance...I guess it's funny if you're under 18. Anyway, I'm pretty sure
Orton is nuts. He swung at a guy in the front row, and then took his hat.
The guy is a loose cannon. Triple H got the win with a pedigree.
Match 9: WWE TITLE- John Cena d. Umaga via DQ
Kind of a bad ending with Estrada hitting Cena with a chair. Nitro came
down and helped Umaga beat up Cena. HHH came down and save John.
Not a bad house show. It was kind of disapointing that Edge, HBK, Flair,
and other big names were not present, but they need days off too...by the
way, the Fink does the ring announcing for these things, and I think it's
best he's not on TV anymore...he looks terrible.
