Apologies in advance if anything is the wrong way round, I'm still buzzing from the
event!
Lights drop, and a teasing "Are You Ready" from the DX theme, then Lilian's rockin
entrance theme.
Huge pop for Lilian Garcia - even lovlier in the flesh & wearing the tiniest of
black dresses.
She sings (beautifully) Flower of Scotland, almost laughing at the traditional
Scottish chants during the song from all of us.
Lilian throws two stick lookin things into the crowd.
A kid & some guy get them.
One will be special guest official for the first match & the other special guest
manager later.
Opening pyro & Raw theme
Carlito Vs Shelton Benjamin
Huge pop for Carlito (most folk got huge pop, we're very forgiving here)
Usual back & forth match, lots of playing to the crowd cheering Carlito but not
Shelton etc.
Carlito scores the pin with that knee to the back finisher.
The little kid comes in to raise his arm (love seeing fan interaction at house shows)

Mickie James Vs Victoria
Looks like Vic has changed her look since I last saw her.
Not complaining, she looks amazing!
Mickie comes out with the dude from the crowd (drooling) as her manager.
God I love Mickie.
At one point Mickie pointed for Stratusfaction, but sadly it was not to be (a lot of
us noticed the middle rope was quite loose, maybe that's why they changed it?)
Run in from Lita to keep up the feud for Survivor Series I guess.

Tommy Dreamer Vs Rene Dupree
Not a big ECW fan, but I was on my feet for Dreamer, he's old school.
Sadly not an ECW rules match, but still good to see Dreamer kicking ass.

Cryme Tyme Vs Cade & Murdoch
Went a bit funny here - Trevor Murdoch tried to hard for heel heat with some guys in
the front rows - bad idea, they were on their feet yelling "you want your go?" and
other well known Scottish phrases - the security dude had to ask the fans to chill.
Cryme Tyme are a great tag team to watch, and the crowd were very into them.
Winners: Cryme Tyme
Diva Best Body Contest:
Lilian comes in to host (was scheduled as Flair up until Sunday)
We have Maria, Torrie & Candice out in gowns.
Suddenly a theme no one recognises hits - it's Mordec- sorry, Kevin Thorn & the
gorgeous Goth, Ariel.
Ariel demands to be involved & does a very provocative dance.
(very cool.)
Maria is up next, does her quick dance (nice bikini)
Torrie comes up, strips to almost nothing, and grabs Candice for a kiss - the dads
near us loved this!
Candice comes in, she grabs Torrie & Maria & makes them kiss!!

Hardcore Holly Vs Kevin Thorn
Bob Holly bails her out
(this prompted a huge yell from my mate of "didn't you turn heel on ECW last night?")
crowd almost fell asleep during this - very boring match.
I have a lot of respect for Holly, coming back from that injury, but I can't watch
his matches!

Spirit Squad Vs Ric Flair & "Rowdy" Roddy Piper
Huge "Mikey" chant due to the stupid way he says his name in their entrance.
One of them fluffed his trampoline bounce through the ropes.
Flair comes out to MASSIVE pop.
He gets on the mic & does a quick promo about his mate, Piper
"He tells me they drink the best beer, drink the best wine, have the most beautiful
women (what??) and the best wrestling fans in the world (obviously playing to the
crowd, but it was still nice)
Piper's music hits & the place erupts like I've never heard - this was bigger than
the pop I see on TV for Hogan!
He's holding Rangers & Celtic scarves - smart move not picking a favourite!
Flair says to him - "for one night only.." and he's wearing a kilt under his robe!
Go Flair!!
Piper takes the mic - he kept the tshirt on, thankfully -
very short promo sadly, as Piper is one of the best on the mic ever - "this is
probably the last time you'll see me here in Glasgow....so let's make this an 8 man
tag match!"
Out come The Highlanders - place goes apesh*t again!
Rory has a Scotland Lion Rampant flag, the two of them are going nuts, we're going
nuts, Piper is grinning like a cheshire cat.
Piper starts off, short & sweet, obviously well past it, but was brilliant to see
him live.
Flair cleans house, place goes Wooooooo crazy!
Roby & Rory do all their moves

This really let me down - Piper & Flair leave, letting The Highlanders have the ring
to pose etc for a good few minutes.
I was hoping for a "Thank You HotRoD" chant, but it never took off.

Jeff Hardy Vs Johnny Nitro (with Melina)
IC Championship Match
Nearly a complete re-run of Monday's match on Raw, but these two are amazing
athletes - Nitro has a great future in this business
Melina is hot as hell, bends over a lot & does that horrid screaming thing.
Winner & still champ: Johnny Nitro
Test Vs Sabu
Can't remember if this was ECW rules or not, but I have to get this off my chest -
TEST IS PISH!!
He was puffing & panting like an old woman only 2 minutes into the match!
I will give him cudos for getting colour at a house show - SAbu hit him with one of
his 3 moves (all of which are chair shots) and he got busted open - we had great
seats & never even noticed a blade job there!

Main Event:
Degeneration X & John Cena Vs Edge, Orton & Umaga
Are You Ready?
The arena went completely batsh*t when the music hit - I've wanted to see these two
for years & I was jumping about like a loon!
Great bit of banter from HhH
"of course Shawn screwed Bret, he's a wanker!"
HHH does his bit
"For the thousands in attendance & the millions not watching at home...and for
Scotland - because I love Scotland. As a kid I played hopscotch, Later I was into
butterscotch. Before I left tonight I used Scotch tape!
And for our opponents - one of whom is a Samoan wrecking machine, and a couple of
poofs named Edge & Orton.... Llllllllllllet's get ready to suuuck iiiiiiiit!!"

HBK take the mic & starts doing Cryme Tyme!

He loses it & starts laughing, obviously an in joke with these guys.
Cena's music hits, third biggest pop of the night
No mic time for him though.
Good solid match, HBK takes a right old beating as always, we get all the big moves
apart from that stupid thumbspike thing & the flying elbow.
Sweet Chin Music on Umaga, RKO to HBK, Pedigree to Orton, Spear to HHH, then FU to
Edge for the pin.
The three spend a good 10 minutes going round the fans, gotta get ringside next time.
Great event.

Hey Guys,
Just back and apart from some very overzealous stewarding (i.e a steward
threatening to eject people for cheering heels and booing faces without
swearing or anything) it was a decent show.
Opener : Carlito vs Shelton Benjamin.
With all due respect, given that these two are the most technically gifted
on the RAW roster, was a very poor match. They both worked the crowd well
at the start but mostly, the match consisted of shoulder bocks,
clotheslines, basic one-hit moves, until Carlito hit the Springboard elbow
then the Backcracker for the win.
Mickey James vs Victoria
Decent match, Lita interefered against Mickie but it didn't stop her
winning with her version of the Stratusfaction. High-paced match, a lot
more technical, both worked really well.
Tommy Dreamer vs Renee Dupree -
Was in the queue to get beer, but Tommy won.
DIVA Body Contest-
Torrie won, Arial did a run in to compete with this, at the end, Kevin
Thorne tried to attack Torrie after she defended herself agaisnt an attack
from Arial, leading to Hardcore Holly making the save and nicely linking
in to our next match.
Hardcore Holly vs Kevin Thorne -
Nothing of note, Hardcore pretty much dominated and won with his second
attempt at the Alabama slam.
Cryme Tyme vs Cade & Murdoch -
Cryme Tyme won with their finisher, the name of which escapes me right
now. Up until this point this was the best match so far, both teams
worked the crowd really well, both were very fluid, match flowed very
nicely.
Spirit Squad vs Piper,Flair and the Highlanders -
Piper came out wearing a Rangers scarf and a Celtic scarf (?) I don't even
have time to begin telling you whats wrong with that, the Highlanders came
out wearing the Scottish National Soccer teams shirt, Flair slapped on the
Figure four on Kenny to get the win.
INTERVAL
Jeff Hardy vs Johnny Nitro -
Nitro beat Hardy with the roll-up and grabbing Hardy's tights, Melina
interfered a lot, Jeff dominated but lost.
Test vs Sabu -
Test won with the big boot, he worked the crowd well and it was a good
match, pump handle slam after the ref had been knocked out won it for him,
Test had tapped out to Sabu while the ref was down.
DX & Cena vs Umaga, Edge & Orton
After Trips got the pedigree on Orton, Edge Speared him, then Cena got the
F-U on Edge for the win. Trips mentioned loving Scotland and made some
joke about Scotch tape, butterscotch and hopscotch.
Really good show, apart from the stewarding, guess they didn't understand
how wrestlign works. Lots of kids were rushing to the corner everytime
someone came out or someone was pinned making it impossible for the floor
to see, however, one steward in particular only complained when older
people stood up to see.
