It appears as though that the 50's-style 'Greasers' act down in Ohio Valley Wrestling will finally be getting their big break as Deuce Shade and Dice Domino are slated to debut at tonight's SmackDown taping in Little Rock, Arkansas. Also, SmackDown will be adding a new WWE Diva to the ranks as their manager Cherry (real name Kara Drew) will be debuting as well. She may be coming down to the ring in roller skates as that is a part of her '1950's malt shop waitress' gimmick down in OVW.
They've appeared on several WWE house shows and done several dark matches over the past year, but they had yet to make it on to television. They were on the brink of being called up in November as they were backstage at a SD taping, but WWE officials decided to not use them on that night. They were brought back on the road in late December for a house show test run, and now they'll be debuting on television.
Shade is the adopted son of Jimmy Snuka. Domino has been under a developmental contract to WWE for about two years. Cherry is a former Northeastern independent valet who went under the guise of Kara Slice. Shade and Domino are currently the OVW Southern Tag Team champions. Their team name down in OVW is "The Throw-backs".
