Hi Rajah! Last night i attended WWE Raw: Road to Wrestlemania House Show in Panama
City, Panama. This is the 2nd time WWE comes. First time was last year in june for a
Smackdown Brand House Show, but this one i believe was a sold out in comparison with
last year show which i attended as well. I was with some friends in the 3rd row so i
got to see the action very close. Here are the results:
First a Tony Chimmel? voice recording introduced us to our ring announcer for the
evening Lilian Garcia, who got a good pop! and entered the ring with some chik
music and welcome us in Spanish! She announced that the single match for tonight
between HBK and Orton was now a STREET FIGHT. Hupe Pop from the crowd! Also 3
lucky fans had the chance to be Bell Ringer, Manager and dunno remember the other
thing, but i never see that happen!, and announced also the main event for the WWE
title, Cena vs Umaga, with special guest referee Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat!
1st Match
Super Crazy vs Lance Cade
Crazy got good pop! Fans were chanting his name through the match. Cade entered
with little to no reaction but later got some boos while playing heel to the
crowd. Good match with back and forth offense from both guys. Cade did some good
offense excuting a nice powerbomb and a backbreaker when Crazy was trying to get
momentum. Crazy hit his trademarks like a swinging slingshot, missile dropkick and
a moonsault to the outside. Crazy got the win surprising Cade with a modified
rollup.
Winner: Super Crazy
2nd Match
World Greatest Tag Team vs Cryme Tyme
Cryme Tyme got a very good pop playing with the crowd. This was for me the
funniest match of the night! At the beginning of the match everytime Cryme Tyme
hit a move on Benjamin, he was running back to Hass for him to protect him and the
Crowd was really into him calling them both CCs. They were hugging too much in
this match which the crowd started getting into them making fun of them which got
them annoyed. After a very slow begining of the match, finally we got to see some
offense by JTG who ended up being the guy who got beat almost in the entire match.
Hass and Benjamin hit their slingshot body double team move, but JTG made the hot
tag to Shad, and Cryme Tyme ended up winning with their swinging neckbreaker
finisher combo. After the match the mocking continued for Benjamin and Hass while
heading to the lockers.
Winners: Cryme Tyme
3rd Match
Women's Championship: Melina (c) vs Mickie James
Man this Divas are so hot in person. Everyone was into this match i think just to
see if we got a hold to see any puppies but that didn't happen! Melina dominated
in this match punching, kicking, doing some mat skills and even hitting a ddt
while Mickie was hanging in the 2nd rope. Mickie got some offense as well, but
Melina ended up winning pinning Mickie using the rope for asistance.
Winner and Still Women's Champ: Melina
4th Match
Chris Masters vs Carlito
Masters still looked huge after that steroids issue he had. Carlito got good pop
as well with the fans chanting his name in some parts of the match and while going
to the ring even took a chance to take a picture with some model. Hey what happen
to Torrie!!!. Both men got offense in this match. Carlito his his springboard 2nd
rope elbow and also a body drop for near falls. Also executed a nice Dropkick.
Masters tried to aply the masterlock but Carlito escaped. The end came when
Masters went outside to grap Carlito's apple and spit him the face with it but
Carlito hit him with a jawbreaker and Master spit the apple pieces all over him
and Carlito hit the backcracker for the win.
Winner: Carlito
5th Match
Kenny Dykstra vs Ric Flair
Kenny entered with no reaction at all. Ric Flair got a HUGE Pop! and me and some
fans were waving and saluting him as he deserves and he really appreciated that.
Fans were chanting Flair during the match. Everytime Flair hit a chop we were
woooooing. Kenny did some mat skills moves to Flair, doing a 10 count punch in the
corner which the fans proceed to boo and even applying a figure 4 leglock which
also got boos from the crowd. Flair did his classic rutine of falling front after
being hit, and going to the top rope just for Kenny to throw him down. The end
came when Flair started working on Kenny's legs and finished him with the figure 4
leglock.
Winner by submission: Ric Flair
*Intermission*
Maria came out with some t-shirts and started throwing them into the crowd and for
the last one a little kid enter the ring and Maria kissed him and gave him the
t-shirt.
6th Match
MNM vs The Hardys
MNM came out without Melina. Hardys came with one of the loudest pops of all
night. Very Good Tag team Match with both teams mocking their rivals taunts. Crowd
was very into this match supporting the Hardys all the way. Hardys did all their
double team rutine, but missed the poetry in motion one when they had both MNM
guys in the corner. Nitro grab Matt for Mercury to hit him with the protective
mask, but Mercury hit Nitro instead, then the Hardys ended up hitting the twist of
fate swanton bomb combo on Mercury for the win. After the match Matt grabed the
mask and put it in his face mocking Mercury, and then kicked it, while Jeff was
posing for the fans in the topturnbuckles. Then both Hardys shook some hands while
going back to the lockers. Hardys were the Fan Favorites of the Night!
Winners: The Hardys
7th Match
Street Fight: Randy Orton vs HBK
Orton came out with a nice reaction i must say. HBK came out with DX Theme which
got a Huge Pop! and entered the ring punching Orton right away and took the fight
to the outside. Orton grabed a Chair and put it in the center of the ring ala Sabu
but ended up getting his face in it when HBK tripped him. Michaels went to the
outside and grabed some trash cans and hit Orton with it. placing one in Randy's
body and nailing him with the other one. Then the action went inside the ring
where Orton did some offense hitting Michaels with his backbreaker move for a near
fall. HBK started to bleed at some point. Orton went outside for Lilian's chair
hitting HBK with it and preparing Michales for the con-chair-to but HBK grabed
Orton in the near zone (testicular claw) and regained momentum, hitting Orton with
his flying elbowdrop and the top rope elbow smash, preparing him for the sweet
chin music which Orton proceed to block at first, but didn't had the chance to
block the second
attemp and Michales scored the pinfall. Good Match, not my best of the night but
very entertaining.
Winner: HBK
8th Match
WWF Title: John Cena (c) vs Umaga w/Armando Alejandro Estrada
Special Guest Referee: Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat
Steamboat came out with a nice ovation and we wave at him just as we did with
Nature Boy and he also acknowledged that. Umaga came out with Estrada. Estrada had
the IC title with him. Cena came out with i believe the Hugest Pop of the night
and grabed a chair right away which Steamboat proceed to take it away from him.
Cena began with some offense sending Umaga crashing to the outside. Then Umaga
took control of the match nailing Cena with a spinning heel kick and sending Cena
right into the steel steps. Umaga dominated this match at some point after a fail
attemp by Cena to body slam him. Umaga hit his trademarks, butt crushing Cena in
the bottom rope and doing his modified rock bottom move. Estrada in some point of
the match insulted us. Cena gained momentum going to the tope rope hitting Umaga
with a standing leg drop, hitting his go round face buster, modified powerbomb and
executing his "You Can't See Me" move. At this pont Ricky Steamboat got nailed by
accident by
Umaga and after Cena applyied the STFU to Umaga, Estrada interfered hitting Cena
with the IC strap giving Umaga a DQ. Estrada started taunting Steamboat, and when
tried to punch him, Ricky block him and started hitting him with some karate
chops!, but Umaga grabed him and was about to hit him with the Spike, before Cena
hit him with the FU. Cena and Steamboat posed for the fans. After, Cena was left
alone in the ring posing more for the fans and the show ended.
Winner by DQ and Still WWE Champ: John Cena
Biggest Pops
1- John Cena
2- HBK
3- Ric Flair
4- The Hardys
5- Carlito/Super Crazy
There were no mayor heats besides the Benjamin/Hass jokingly
Overall an Excellent show. Crowd was really into it. Hope we get a chance to see
another show like this one. We are still missing some wreslters to watch like
Chris Benoit, Batista, Kane, Edge, Triple H (sheduled to be in the show at the
beginning if not for the injury) The only negative thing was the merchandise. i
was hoping to see different types like Hats, Carlito, Hulkamania T-Shirts, etc.
and they had only the central america tour t-shirt and a John Cena T-Shirt. That's
It. Last year was the same thing. Hope they improve in this. Overall everything
else was perfect. Show started and ended in time.
