Adam Cole Turns On The Undisputed ERA At NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day (Videos)

Adam Cole left the NXT Universe with broken hearts on Valentine's Day.

The former NXT Champion and leader of The Undisputed ERA closed out the NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day 2021 special event by turning on and attacking his longtime friends in the faction.

On Sunday evening, Finn Balor defeated Pete Dunne in an excellent main event to retain the NXT Championship. After the match, Balor was attacked by Oney Lorcan, Danny Burch and Dunne in a post-match beatdown.

This led to The Undisputed ERA running down to the ring to make the save, although one particular member of the group seemingly had a very different plan in mind.

After clearing the ring of Dunne, Lorcan and Burch, The Undisputed ERA remained in the ring while Balor recovered from the attack. Eventually, Kyle O'Reilly, a recent foe of Balor's, extended his hand to "The Prince" to help him up to his feet.

Although he was hesitant to accept, Balor eventually reached his hand out as well, and O'Reilly helped him up and complimented him on being a true champion.

Adam Cole didn't care much for that.

The Undisputed ERA leader then laid out Balor, to the shock and disbelief of his fellow friends, namely, O'Reilly. Moments later, Cole went one step further, laying out O'Reilly as well.

Cole looked down at the carnage he created as the NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day special event went off the air with more questions than answers for the NXT Universe and WWE fan-base.
