Additional Details On JC Mateo And Tonga Loa’s WWE Departures

As previously reported, The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) and MFT members JC Mateo and Tonga Loa have left WWE. It was noted earlier that while Woods and Kingston reached a mutual agreement to part ways, the circumstances surrounding Mateo and Loa's departure were unclear—it's uncertain whether they left voluntarily or were released.

According to PWInsider.com, Mateo and Loa’s exits from WWE are classified as roster "cuts" and releases. As of now, these are the only anticipated departures from the WWE roster.

Recently, Mateo competed for the WWE Tag Team Titles on the post-WrestleMania 42 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. He and MFT member Tama Tonga faced reigning champions Damian Priest and R-Truth but lost their shot at the titles.

Meanwhile, Tonga Loa last competed on the RAW episode before WrestleMania 42. The MFT members Mateo, Solo Sikoa, and Loa were defeated by the team of LA Knight and The Usos. Mateo and Loa's final appearance was on the April 24 edition of SmackDown, where they were attacked by Jacob Fatu after he defeated MFT leader Solo Sikoa.
