Former WWE star and Legacy member Ted DiBiase Jr. was reported to have attended WrestleMania 42 last month.
Although DiBiase Jr. was found not guilty in a federal fraud trial, a report from Fightful Select states that he was never seriously considered to be involved in the feud between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes leading up to WrestleMania 42. There was no substantial discussion about his inclusion in that storyline. Following DiBiase Jr.'s acquittal, many fans speculated that it might open the door for him to be part of the feud, possibly as Orton’s mystery caller, owing to his past connections with both Orton and Rhodes. However, the mystery caller was ultimately revealed to be Pat McAfee.
While DiBiase Jr. was not invited to WrestleMania 42 by WWE, he did receive an invitation to WrestleCon in Las Vegas during that week. Fightful reports that a source speculated he may have been sponsored by the water company featured on his shirt for a ticket to the event. In a recent interview with Culture Kings, Orton claimed that DiBiase Jr. owes him $25,000. Fightful indicates that Orton's financial claim is serious, but the specific context regarding DiBiase Jr.’s alleged debt to Orton remains unclear.
Additionally, DiBiase attended WrestleMania 42 with his lawyer, but he was reportedly not an invited guest of WWE. He also filmed his reactions while he was in attendance.
