AEW Contract Of Rey Fenix Reportedly Not Expiring Until Next Year

-- Earlier this week, it was reported that one half of the Lucha Bros - Penta - was likely on his way out of AEW after his contract was set to expire next week and since then, the status of the other half - Rey Fenix - is also becoming clear.

-- Fightfulselect.com reports that Fenix still has "a lot more time" left on his contract and that sources who are aware of the situation have noted that his deal deal will run well into next year due to the fact that AEW has tacked on injury time to the original end date.

-- As is common knowledge by now, the contracts of the brothers was supposed to be expiring this fall but it became public knowledge that WWE was interested in signing them once that happened. When AEW became aware of this interest, they decided to add the injury time to their deals, keeping them locked in with the company for longer.
