Another AEW Wrestler Says He Has to Step Away From Wrestling For A While

-- Another AEW wrestler, Buddy Matthews, told the audience at an indie event this weekend that he needs to "go away for a while", joining his House of Black member Malakai Black who said something similar last week. After his match for Fight Life Pro Wrestling against JT Dunn in Rhode Island, Matthews told the crowd that he was "going to be the bearer of some bad news." He said the House of Black had some issues lately and after thanking the fans for being members of the house, he noted that he has to take an absence.

"Unfortunately, I, like some of the other members, need to go away for a while. I need to recalibrate. I need to figure out some things. As my brother Malakai (Black) once said, this isn’t goodbye -- this is see you later.”

-- Matthews has only been in AEW since February, signing with the promotion after his release from WWE, where he was known as Buddy Murphy.
