Another NXT Wrestler Being Discussed For Permanent Move To Main Roster

A host of NXT wrestlers have either been officially called up to one of WWE's main rosters or are strongly rumored to be making the jump in the coming weeks. You can now add one more name to the list of rumored call-ups.

A new report from fightfulselect.com suggests that NXT World Champion Jacy Jayne's name has popped up in discussions about a potential move to the main roster. NXT higher-ups are of the opinion that she is deserving of a move after a successful 2025.

Jayne has already wrestled on Smackdown, having made her debut back in 2022 and the Fightful report noted that at the time, Jacy had made a "good impression" and it had led to semi-regular discussions on bringing her up full-time. Ultimately, she stuck in NXT where she became NXT Women's champion in 2025 after having spent much of her career as a mid-carder or a tag team specialist.

NXT sources pointed out that when the company decided to push her as a singles wrestler in 2025, she took full advantage of the situation in what was described as a "sink or swim" opportunity for the veteran.
