Backstage Details On Rusev And Aleister Black Having More Losses In WWE Than In Their Entire AEW Careers

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rusev and Aleister Black have already lost more matches during their current WWE tenure than they did throughout their entire time in AEW.

Meltzer pointed out that Rusev, who was reportedly reluctant to lose matches during his time in AEW, has already suffered double the number of defeats in WWE compared to his five years with AEW. He also mentioned that Tony Khan may have overpaid for Rusev, considering that the current WWE star only wrestled 36 matches in All Elite Wrestling, while he has already participated in 22 matches since returning to WWE.

Regarding Aleister Black, it was noted that he has lost approximately five matches since his return to WWE—three by pinfall and two by disqualification. Black has been involved in a heated rivalry with Damian Priest for the past several months.

In the meantime, Rusev will have another opportunity to win the Intercontinental Title when he competes against the reigning champion, Dominik Mysterio, and Penta in a Triple Threat Match at this weekend’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.
