Backstage News On AAA’s Broadcast Deal With FOX Mexico

As previously reported, WWE recently announced a new television partnership with the Fox Corporation to bring AAA programming, including premium live events, to FOX Mexico. Under this agreement, AAA programming will be available across Mexico, Central America, and South America, with the exception of Brazil.

However, according to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, sources in Mexico have downplayed the significance of this deal, indicating that the networks airing AAA programming have minimal viewership in Mexico. Currently, AEW is broadcast on FOX Sports Mexico, which reportedly has limited viewership, while WWE content is shown on Fox Latin America.

The report also highlighted that although FOX Sports Mexico is more established than Fox Latin America, it has lost many of its broadcast rights to the latter. Despite both networks sharing the Fox name, they are reportedly unrelated. FOX Sports Mexico is said to be declining, whereas Fox Sports Latin America is experiencing growth.

Furthermore, WWE announced this deal shortly after news broke that AAA's current broadcast partnership with Space would conclude at the end of the year, giving CMLL the most prominent television exposure in the region through Televisa.

Starting in 2026, AAA shows will be classified as sports content and will be broadcast in the previously mentioned regions. The announcement stated that AAA programming will be available on various FOX platforms, including the FOX channel on Tubi (available for free in AVOD format), the FOX pay TV channel, and the SVOD platform FOX One.
