In the opening match of WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two last night, Oba Femi quickly defeated Brock Lesnar. Femi managed to survive an F-5 and a trip to Suplex City, fighting back before delivering a Fall From Grace to secure the pinfall victory. This win solidifies Femi’s status as a rising star in WWE.
After the match, Lesnar removed his gloves and boots, possibly signaling his retirement. He then embraced his longtime friend and onscreen manager, WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman, marking what seemed to be a farewell for The Beast Incarnate.
Heyman raised Lesnar’s arm in victory, and Lesnar took a moment to connect with the crowd, standing in the corner and celebrating. He then sat in the center of the ring, taking a final bow before leaving with Heyman. Lesnar appeared grateful for the warm reception from the fans and continued to engage with the audience before heading backstage.
According to BodySlam+, Lesnar handpicked Femi as his opponent for WrestleMania 42, and the match had been planned internally since February.
