Sean Ross Sapp discussed the chances of WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus competing for the company in 2026 during the latest edition of Fightful Select Answers. Many fans were surprised by her limited wrestling activity in 2025, despite it being her 25th year with WWE.
Expectations for Stratus in 2025 were high, particularly because it was significant milestone year. Many within WWE anticipated a match or storyline linked to a “25 Years of Trish Stratus” theme, but those plans did not materialize. Sapp pointed out that although Stratus made several appearances throughout the year, she remained mostly inactive in terms of competition.
According to Sapp, Stratus has consistently pitched ideas and has been open to creative discussions whenever WWE has reached out to her over the years. He noted that her returning to the ring in 2026 would not be surprising, as she has demonstrated that she can still perform at a high level, even at the age of 50. However, as of now, there are no confirmed plans for her in-ring return, nor has anything been formally scheduled.
