According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, top WWE star CM Punk has been removed from the advertising for the European tour and several RAW dates in June. The company internally describes Punk’s absence as “nothing more” than a scheduling change.
Meltzer noted that these changes affect multiple dates on WWE’s European summer tour, which includes shows scheduled between May 28 and June 22. Punk was originally advertised for the shows starting in Liverpool and continuing through the June 22 episode of RAW at London’s O2 Arena.
Despite these updates, Punk is still listed for several upcoming RAW appearances in the United States. WWE continues to advertise him for the RAW episodes on May 18, May 25, and June 15. Additionally, Punk is promoted for major summer episodes of RAW in Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles, and Des Moines through July and early August.
Punk has not appeared on WWE television since the April 20 episode of RAW following WrestleMania 42. This episode aired the night after his World Heavyweight Championship loss to Roman Reigns and featured a tense segment between Punk and Cody Rhodes, hinting at a possible future storyline that has not been revisited since. Fans speculated for weeks that Punk could appear as the mystery partner related to Danhausen ahead of Backlash, but WWE ultimately chose Minihausen instead.
