In the latest episode of Stephanie McMahon’s podcast, “What’s Your Story,” she promoted Surfshark VPN as a way to watch WWE on Netflix, avoiding the boring commercials common with cable television.
According to Fightful Select, at least one source at ESPN expressed dissatisfaction with the ad. However, the source noted that while they were not pleased, they did not believe it would become a significant issue.
ESPN is set to be the new broadcasting source for WWE premium live events (PLEs) in the U.S., and VPNs can provide a means to circumvent paying for the ESPN streaming service by accessing WWE content on Netflix instead.
