Backstage News On EVIL’s New Ring Name For WWE NXT

Former NJPW star and IWGP Heavyweight Champion EVIL made his WWE NXT debut on this past Tuesday night’s episode of NXT TV, confronting NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo. However, it appears that WWE has not yet finalized his new ring name, as reported by TC of WrestleVotes.

WWE recently filed a trademark for the name "Nox Raijin," leading many to believe that this would be EVIL’s new ring name in NXT. However, according to a recent report from WrestleVotes, WWE is still undecided on the matter.

During his NXT debut, EVIL presented D’Angelo with a scroll containing Kanji characters before leaving the ring. The segment concluded with Tavion Heights and Will Kroos attacking the reigning NXT Champion. Following his debut, EVIL took to Twitter (X) to comment, “I’ve arrived. #WWENXT.”
