WWE held its 2026 Royal Rumble premium live event (PLE) on Saturday, January 31st, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event featured both the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble Matches, showcasing several surprises. However, there were some names speculated for appearances in both matches that ultimately did not materialize.
According to Fightful Select, Kit Wilson was considered as a potential participant for the Men’s Royal Rumble Match, but the decision was made not to include him. Wilson has recently begun a solo run on SmackDown with a new character, as his regular tag partner, Elton Prince, continues to recover from an injury.
The report also noted that there was wild speculation online regarding Karrion Kross making a return at the Royal Rumble, but WWE sources indicated that he was not approached about appearing. Similarly, Saraya was another name frequently mentioned for a possible appearance, especially after she shared several training videos online in the past week. It should be noted that Saraya departed WWE because they would not clear her for in-ring competition, and it remains unclear if they would reconsider that decision now.
Additionally, the report mentioned that several talents were in Riyadh as alternates for the Rumble matches. However, there is currently no information available on who those talents were, but further updates will be provided as they become available.
