CM Punk recently posted on social media (Instagram) indicating that he was looking to come after the WWE title which has led to speculation on a possible Punk vs. John Cena match at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank PLE.
PWInsiderelite.com reports that while Punk's social media activity would seem to suggest this is the direction, the current creative plans do not have WWE looking at a singles match between the two at MITB, however, the company absolutely wants to get to that match at some point later this year "when the timing is right."
In the meantime, musician Travis Scott continues to be involved in Cena's storyline and the internal belief is that Scott will be available for Money in the Bank. Pitches have been made within creative to have Scott team up with Cena in some way, either in a traditional tag team match or in a six-man tag bout. Presumably, Cody Rhodes would be on the other side with a possible partner or partners. Scott has been training in Texas with Booker T so it seems like a foregone conclusion that he will be wrestling for WWE at some point.
