As previously reported, WWE has announced that Stephanie McMahon will be the first inductee into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame class.
According to Bryan Alvarez on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, John Cena, a 17-time World Champion who is about to retire, is expected to be the headlining star for next year's Hall of Fame class. Alvarez mentioned that this is likely not a surprise, but it was certainly a topic of discussion last Monday night.
With Stephanie McMahon already confirmed, Cena and Stephanie would be the two biggest names if this speculation comes to fruition. The induction ceremony is expected to take place during WrestleMania weekend.
WWE has yet to provide details for the 2026 Hall of Fame induction ceremony, but it typically occurs during WrestleMania weekend. WrestleMania 42 is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026, and Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As Cena prepares for retirement, he has two matches left. He will defend his Intercontinental Title against Dominik Mysterio at Survivor Series: WarGames. His final match is set for Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13. Currently, WWE is holding The Last Time Is Now Tournament to determine Cena’s last opponent. Saturday Night's Main Event will take place at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, and will be broadcast live on Peacock in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
